This guy just emailed me worried if this will put an end to online poker. I think it’s B.S. What do ya think?

I’m sure it’s done the round before … and been decried as bogus.
Many people used the obvious “cards are random – the casinos are genuine” arguement.

However … while I agree with those opinions …

… I could STILL think of a possible software situation where it might be a genuine cheat

… what do you think of this ?

We see that every card hand has a unique serial number (usually seen on page) why?

Possibly, it’s because the casino software actually generates the fall of cards in a secured audited environment weeks or months in advance – and stores them on a database.

Then when a hand is played ALL card data is sent to each client (player) PC, and the cards are only revealed according to small messages sent by the host (casino) server.

Why would a casino do this? What would the benefits be ?
    – It would enable the casinos to syncronise player hands, and also stagger the bandwidth and the drain on the card server.
    – It’s the sort of techhy solution that happens in a lot of applications.

What COULD the consequences be ?
    – If someone had stumbled upon this, and found a way to introgate the data flow, then potentially the software COULD reveal the flop, turn and river cards prior to them being displayed on the screen.

So … I’m in the undecided camp.

Given the buggy, poorly thought out software that we’ve seen come out of microgaming in recent weeks … it is quite possible that they’ve implented the card data in the way I’ve outlined above.

The cheat could be genuine …
But I’m not paying to find out …
    :woo-hoo:

    Its BS. ;-)

That pic they show is deceptive. That person is totally misrepresenting the product. I dont know how they can do that and Google allows them to advertise with adwords…

I would also bet that the email you recieved was from their marketing efforts….

It is a horrible poker calculator.

I myself have a MUCH better product thats just out of beta that tracks cards, outs, player actions, etc.. but alas – it wont show you others cards…..

Bottom line – verified fraud and total BS – dont waste your cash.

    Opps …

I’ve just been able to get at the link ..
And I’ve been talking about a different “system”.

There was one as few months back that claimed it could reveal flop, turn and river cards ahead of time (so you could judge your bets accordingly).

That was the one that I beleived was theoretically possible …

After following this link I see that it claims to reveal other players hands. I cannot see why the casino would ever send you details of other party hands … and so yes … this variant is crap.
    :banger:
