InactiveVery interesting design. I think the top animated graphic takes too long to complete for the average user. I would try and speed that up a bit.
I would also try an add more content and provide some sort of navigational structure for your users to access any page on your site at any time. Say they were on one of the article pages, why not give them to option to visit one of the poker room reviews and play directly from that page?
Have a great day!

InactiveFor me the top banner (and the whole page) loaded blindingly fast, no problem there.
What I thought was weird however was that for example the “when is the best time to play” article mentioned Party Poker, but there wasn’t a link to visit the place! At least when I read an interesting web article I expect there to be links to the places mentioned, so I can check them out. In this case there was no link, so I’d have to just type in Party Poker to the address bar, which would cost the site one click, which of course is always bad.

InactiveThe banner looks good but I would have the three tagline copies ease in faster. They’re coming in too slow and the tags are already read by the time they stop, then you have to wait till the 2nd tag comes in. I would remove some frames from the timeline to make it come in faster or ease it in at a faster speed and then settle. I like how the 4th(final) tag comes in though.

InactiveI like it nice easy to nav, good contrast, nice job

Not that most people worry about load times (the norm of a 56K modem) these days what with cable, adsl and so on. I’m just as guilty btw.
Though, I’m now heading back to quick load times. My two current dev sites each load in under 10 sec on a 56K modem.
If your interested, your load speeds for 9livespoker.com are below.

InactiveNice job, good color scheme/layout. I’m sure your webmaster knows but…
Missing a couple of META Tags. You only have a title META tag, add a description and keyword META tag. The keyword META tag is less important these days. Description tag should be about 200-250 characters, 20-25 words max. Google also grabs snippets of a page’s content when displaying in the SERPs.
Make sure the .jpg’s have some text in the alt tags. It displays first and catches the reader’s eye from what I hear.
Plus It definately needs navagation. Make it as easy to navigate as possible. Hitting the Back button not/never a good idea.
If you put a javascript nav menu might want to put the links in anchor html tags at the bottom so they get followed/indexed.
It used to be that SE’s didn’t read javascript but there was a tag for text, for when users had javascript turned off and the SE’s could see it also, maybe this has changed.
Many of the older sites that have a .js nav menu put the page hyperlinks between the
