I predict there will be Golden Palace Pink Bunny sightings in Vegas in the very near future….

InactivePretty funny idea, I must admit – but the starting price is way high ($150K, or $5K per day).

InactiveYes i think the starting price is way to high has well, i think he’s hoping golden palace make a bid because i cant see any other company making a bid at that price. It will be funny to see him in vegas if anyone makes a bid!

Inactiveah ah. I remember when I was sitting with my friends to see the UEFA CUP final and at the half time a man enters the field wearing clothes of referee. He then strips and go completely nude with a Golden Palace casino advertisement and tries to score a goal. Ah ah, very funny.
The FC Porto keeper didn’t allow him to score though

InactiveIt looks like the auction ended with no bids, but I’m not sure that this is too disappointing. The auction and the buzz around it probably more than paid for the time, effort, and eBay listing fee.
But I think this a terrific example of creative, guerilla, viral marketing. That auction on eBay had over 5400 visitors, and I would imagine that the article in Yahoo had a comparable number of visitors. And I would also imagine that a very high percentage of those clicked through to one of Jeremy’s websites.

InactiveHey Guys,
It’s me…..the famous Pink Bunny. The auction closed today with no bids. I have to say though that I really did not expect to get any as the price was set very high. Hey if Golden Palace would have bit………..by all means I would have been there…………..and stand by because you may not have heard the end of the Pink Bunny saga yet.
Needless to say though it did open up some dialogue with several other companies about sponsoring the Pink Bunny in some of the larger tournaments coming up.
Now just to share with the group why I did this. Number one I though it would fun if it did actually close. And in reality I still think it is a brilliant idea. You could essentially brand the Pink Bunny just like Golden Palace has branded the streaker. Imagine if the Pink Bunny made appearances at all the major tournaments, or if I actually did play for a month in Vegas and blog about it every night. blah blah blah, possibilities are endless.
With that said as well, I got a very healthy return on the auction and the press releases from just book sales alone. I was able to give alot of exposure to Party Riches and continue branding myself as well as my book. I may relist the auction, but I will do it at a lower cost and probably with a different approach than 30 days in Vegas.
At the end of the day this was a very successful 10 day marketing campaign for me. One of the things I have been trying to do with my affiliate business over the past year is to “think outside the box”. Too many new affiliates get to a comfortable income level and then stop trying new ideas. Most of my success as an affiliate has come from doing out of the ordinary things and especially marketing to a specific niche.
Alot of people (mostly) non affiliate poker players will flame the whole Pink Bunny idea, but…………….. that’s why I make over 100K promoting poker and many of them lose thousands playing the game 😮 Believe me, I’ve tried that route, and I have found that promoting affiliate programs is a bit more lucrative (for me at least) than grinding it out at the tables.
I would be interested to hear all your thoughts on the concept and what transpired for 10 days with the Buzz on this as well as PR’s. FWIW if you have never done press release, you should seriously consider incorporating this into your business plans. It’s a great way to compliment you SEO strategy as well as branding and increasing awareness for your products.

InactiveHi Jeremy (Ex from the board)
I must confess I really loved the way you put two ideas together….. and im sure with a little tweaking you will actually find a sponsor!
Glad to hear the stunt paid off in extra sales heh

InactiveWonderful idea, Jeremy. Being a marketer and having to do things like that in normal life (LOL), I understand perfectly what you did and why – and entirely right, had GP actually made a bid… would have been a stupendous result.
I hope you go far with your idea – but as for branding, I do have one piece of advice – if you get too popular, you may receive a challenge from Everready, who have made extensive use of a pink Energizer bunny in past commercials
So if the bunny could “change” colors, or have spots or measles, or stuff like that…March 1, 2005 at 6:49 pm #662175Anonymous
Inactivespots or measles, or stuff :bath:
I’ll pass on that one, but thanks
Yea I kind of thought about that one (Energizer, legas stuff, etc.)………we’ll see. Thanks for the feedback though. On a side note I will not be wearing a Pink Bunny suit at the CAC in Amsterdam. :rollover:
