It’s not a rumor. My host is always one of the first to move on serious issues – and although I had already patched some days ago, I was told that the seriousness of the issue warranted either a full upgrade, or complete removal of phpBB.
My host, however, knows exactly what they are doing – so when I offered to change software they gladly supported that… LOL… so I am moving to the same software used here at CAP, which is what they recommend.
