March 25, 2008 at 7:42 pm #764167AnonymousInactiveFrom a PR value stance
30 links on a PR 7 site will be less value than a pr 3 backlink with fewer outbound links…
I think i would be more attractive if you reduce the cap on outbound links.
can you pm the url please might be interested.. if you reduce max links on site
March 25, 2008 at 9:36 pm #764176AnonymousInactiveif it were 10-15 links max might be interested, please PM me the URL.

March 27, 2008 at 1:15 am #764273biggygMemberJust wanted to post here what was on my mind and what i posted to casinotime privately.I posted this site for sale first on sitepoint then on digitalpoint.Highest bid was $5000 even though website has steady 6 months audiobooks income of $400-600 ,adsense income of $95 and of course potential revenue for link sales.
A casino group seen the post of website for sale and offered me a link sales deal which made sense for me to keep the website and make the revenue from them .
I have been a member of cap 18 months or so , I have met in person alot of managers and affiliates here.Next month i am going on a cruise to malta ,rome , france etc and then going to Israel to meet alot of the people here as i cant always make the trips to cap because of kids school , my health etc.I value my friendships here so much that it REALLY bothers me Jacktens remarks .
I posted this link deal here yesterday AFTER I got the payment from the casino group which you all will know soon as the links go up.I spent $3960 on linsk for this website tonight and probably in next few hours the google adwords will be up so it is definitely priced well.I pay 20.00 a month for pr2 and i am sure most of you guys do too.
Anyway after seeing this and considering everything I decided tonight I am done with link sales.Period.So also consider this thread closed as it is on DP.
March 27, 2008 at 1:26 am #764274AnonymousInactiveSorry casinobonusguy my bad, my sincere apologies regarding my post I posted. I should have contacted you first via a pm either here or at DP.
I was kind of having a bad day too and just happened to not think of sending a pm before posting
Dont take what i said negatively i was just merely pointing some things out… + the bad day i was having.
Have a great day
March 27, 2008 at 1:35 am #764277AnonymousInactiveforgot to mention… Have a safe trip
March 27, 2008 at 8:35 pm #764390AnonymousInactiveYou also have my apologies. I reacted instinctively due to some previous transactions I’ve had on internet which weren’t as described. I’ve also seen this before : selling a number of links and then selling the website, which is kind of shady.
Anyway, again, I’m sorry and I wish we could delete some posts. I plead guilty to being impulsive and sometimes posting things without thinking first.
Still, I highly suggest any internet entrepreneurs like us to thoroughly investigate what they’re buying because, at least it’s my experience so far, what you see is rarely what you get.
Small story : I was more naïve in the past. There had been a website for sale on Sitepoint and it was attracting lots of attention. I believe it went up to 3500$ bid, and the guy was declaring steady revenues of 400$ per month. At that price it wasn’t interesting for me but the deal fell through or something and the website was relisted (by the original seller).
There were screenshots of revenue and it looked regular, legitimate. I managed to buy the website for 1550 and figured great, I’ll add it to my roster of websites and in 4 months it’ll be paid for.
Well it turned out to be a frickin’ pain in the ass. Not only did the guy include his link sales in the “400$/month” and arranged the screenshots so it wasn’t obvious at all, the website was coded worse than if a monkey had written it. So from 400$/month, it was more like 40$ per month. I ended up selling the website a few months later. The same day I listed it, the website’s PR dropped from 6 to 4 and hundreds of pages with PR5-3 became PR1-0. I sold at half price.
Luckily, this was a very minor investment and more of a hobby type thing. Now, anytime I’m thinking about buying a website that’s worth more than 5000$, I’m definitively enquiring thoroughly about it and so should you.
In the end, casinobonusguy’s offer brought back annoying memories and I jumped to conclusions. I hope everyone learns a small lesson from this thread.
