hendrikMemberThere were a few teething problems when they moved over to the Netrefer software, but they all seem to have calmed down now. Payments also appear to have got back to normal after a bit of a dely in May. They normally make payment around 15-19 of each month, although I haven’t got last months yet.
As far as we are concerned there are no issues.

InactiveNo problems with Paddy Power. THey’re a good name and a good brand in UK and Ireland. A good product.
But … the affiliate “team” performance is trending downwards with the departure of Sinead Lambert – and I doubt that anyone has been added to the staff.
As has been mentioned they have moved to a new affiliate system in May – and seem to be spending a lot of time fighting fires and getting things running smoothly. But this is their 3rd payment period under the new system – and I still have no idea when they will actually make the payment.
(at least we know that they WILL make the payment though – as I’ve said they’re a good lot – just significantly under-resourced to handle the online workload)
:hattip:So if you score an affiliate team on responsiveness and timely payments – then I’d have to say these guys are rating around 1 or 2 out of 10 – and new affiliates may be dis-illusioned at the lack of interaction.

one2MemberIf they’re not making timely payments, I don’t see how they can be considered a good book.

hendrikMemberwell that is a fair point, but bang on time payments is not the only factor that makes a good program.
PP provide lots of useable content and are good at converting traffic, which makes them a good program for us.
It’s up to you though if you want to promote them.

Well there is a difference between timely, on time, and eventually I guess. Paddy Power are paying their affiliates – and in the past it’s usually been within a calander month.
Here is their delay (in days) prior to the changeover of affiliate systems :
17, 29, 26, 18, 17, 20, 21, 23, 13, 17, 28, 23, 19, 34, 21As you can see pretty consistant – an average of 21 days – and a maximum of 34 days. But even so there is still plenty of variation month on month – and little notification of reasons for delays when they occur. It just feels like it’s not that important.
Since the new system was installed they not improved – indeed the first payment was well overdue :
44, 25, 18 (and counting). As I said – it seems that a combination of new system teething troubles and affiliate management manpower have caused regular delays.
OVERALL :
If you dismiss PaddyPower simply based on these payment delays then you’ll probably be doing yourself and your readers a dis-service … they are a quality organisation for customer and very trustworthy … with some good points of difference to promote. However, it would have been remiss of me not to mention the recent downturn in affilaite service. Experienced affiliates will be able to handle it – but I’d imagine newbie affiliates would struggle.
So I did not want to put you off – just make you aware.

BlanksMemberHi guys,
Just to let you know that the Paddy Power affiliates team now has 2 new members!
Anthony Wong is our new affiliate manager; he has previously worked for Lucky 8, Betfair and Betdaq and so brings plenty of experience to the table.
I joined a few weeks ago from Rank Interactive, where I worked on the Blue Square and Mecca brands, and will be focusing on tour Paddy Power Bingo product as well as the sportsbook.
Jess and Mick are also still here (some of you may have seen them on our video newsletters), focussing on our casino and poker offerings respectively, as well as the sportsbook which is shared throughout the team.
Regarding the issues raised above regarding payments – yes, we are still experiencing some teething problems with our new affiliate software which have led to a delay in payments for July activity. I can, however, assure you that they are being addressed as a priority, and I can also tell you that July payments are now being processed and should be paid towards the end of this week.
As for the affiliate service which we provide, I can only apologise on behalf of the team for any downturn in responsiveness which you may have experienced as a result of the personnel changes, and pledge that now that we have a full-strength team, we will do our utmost to give you our affiliates the friendly, efficient service you deserve!
Finally, I just wanted to add that the entire Paddy Power team will be at the BAC conference in Budapest next month, so if you would like to arrange a meeting, please contact either myself or just send an email to [email protected]
All the best,
MarkAugust 26, 2009 at 9:49 am #803463Anonymous
InactiveI have a problem with Paddy Power Affiliates.
I had a player deposit £2500 through my casino link, but no earnings. I queried it with them and got this reply:The reason why you have not earned money for that player thus far is because they signed up as a Paddy Power Casino customer but actually played on Paddy Power Games. We do not offer cross-channel commission to affiliates as standard, but may consider doing so on a case-by-case basis if we can see that they are sending us good traffic. Please also note that we do not charge for any negative earnings as a number of other affiliate programs do.
What I would say to you as a relatively new affiliate (at least to our program) is just to concentrate on building up the volume of traffic to start with, and your commission total will soon start to build. If you can generate 20 or 30 accounts like that one in the next couple of months, we’ll be happy to reward you with cross-product commission.
Best wishes,
Mark
What a bunch of crap that lot is. Has anyone else had problems like this? As I see it. That player signed up through my link on my site, therefore I should be entitled to that commission.
Has anybody got a contact or any advice for me on this.
Thank youAugust 26, 2009 at 10:07 am #803466Anonymous
InactiveYep…. the old ‘cross channel’ rip off. This is the reason I walked away from Paddy Power….

one2MemberHow many other books do this?
I usually promote sports betting but if a player used the casino I should get that revenue as well.August 26, 2009 at 12:17 pm #803472Anonymous
Inactivebetfred have something similar..diff. affiliate program for sportsbook, and diff program for poker/casino.
If a player signs up from you sportsbook aff-link and play casino/bingo/poker etc. you dont get revenue for this and vice versa….The reason why im not promoting them actively any moreAugust 27, 2009 at 11:32 am #803532
carolineMemberits a shame more multi-channel operators dont offer cross-commission.
(aplogies for the shameless plug but…) we offer an ‘open wallet’ offering commission regardless of whteher your customers play on our sportsbook, casino, bingo or instant games.
know many of you will have overlooked totesport in the past but we’ve got plenty going on at at Tote HQ just now, including 8 new casino games launhced yesterday (imcluding the exciting ‘Gladiator’) and a new casino site hitting browser near you in early September
