InactiveHow about Google Chrome.

InactiveI have been comparing IE8, Firefox and Google Chrome for a few weeks now.
Firefox is the most sluggish and has lots of little annoyances now.
IE8 is truly superior to any IE ever – by miles. It is also superior to Firefox now – a lot.
Google chrome is very nice once you get used to it. Clean, fast and with lots of useful features.
Firefox is failing to stay with the times… IMO while once the most advanced it is now the least advanced of the three.
Just my opinion…

EyeOfTheTigerMemberI am a fan of Google Chrome but I don’t feel it’s as option-rich as Firefox.

InactiveI have also just started to test Opera, which IMO also outdoes firefox now. Fast and sleek. Reminds me of Google Chrome.

EyeOfTheTigerMemberI think I’ll try out Opera when I get a chance. I read some comparisons that suggested that it outdoes Firefox.

I gave Opera a shot yesterday but I still like Firefox too much. What do you find so much more appealing? It did feel like Opera was loading sites a hair faster…

Much quicker and better looking (personal opinion I guess). I also like the speed dial feature (Chrome copied this), the wand for passwords. A couple of cool add on tools too like notes, built in bit torrent, trash can so you can open recently closed tabs. Some cool widgets too though I dont use this so much.
Plenty more info on some of its better features here. Its really quite a powerful browser.

Ah! Yeah I use the SpeedDial plug-in for Firefox. What’s the password wand? Notes sounds good. Is the built-in torrent handler powerful and light on resources? Consolidation is nice, but I could imagine issues with memory and stability could arise. Seems like FireFox learned a thing or two from Opera?

ggsoftwareMemberThe bit torrent is a bit slow and bogs down a little on your other surfing but not if the files arent too big. You can read about all the features at the link above.
And yes, I think they’re ALL learning a few things from Opera.

InactiveNo, of course not. The great majority of people use IE and IE8 is way better than any IE before. And much faster than firefox, I can’t stand the sluggishness of that anymore.
IE8 is a good product, not to worry about what all the geeks are doing.
I mainly use others because sometimes I am logged into different sections of the same site and I can’t do it on the same browser.
I have IE8 as default now and am happy.

IE’s not too bad, I used it for many years, even while people were trying to convince me to use Firefox. Ultimately, it was some of the features like tabbed browsing, plug-ins, stability, opening tabs once the window was lost, etc – that may or may not be in IE now – that brought me over.

InactiveAll in IE now, and a lot faster.
