InactiveSome popup-blockers do indeed block “target=blank” – I have tested this extensively, otherwise Got2Bet would still be using this tag.

InactiveI can tell for the google blocker only but have not recognized him blocking one target=blank window.
Would be a bad pop up blocker though, if blocking sites opening through the links visitors are clicking.

Does the same apply for all targeted windows irrespective of how you name them. IE: target=”mywindow”?

I do this because I don’t want people to leave my site so easily. If I send someone out to a casino, and if they are unhappy with where they’ve ended up, at least when they close that window, my site will be there in the background. Perhaps they will try a few more casinos before giving up on my site….Now, the “Back” button is an option, I suppose, except that some websites make it extremely difficult to back out of the site once you’re there. Sometimes you have to click “Back” as fast as you possibly can just to get back to where you were. I hate sites that do that. When I surf the net, I often hold down the shift key every time I click on a link anyway, so it opens in a new window.
Which popup blockers block the “target” function?

InactiveThere is a possible solution which might help.
You could open up a copy of your own site using target=”_blank” and then use javascript to direct the current page to the casino whilst pushing the new window to the back.
Those with blockers would be sent to the casino instead of being stuck on your site, and those without the dodgy blockers would be sent to the casino but still have your site in the background.
