InactiveNo affiliate program as of yet and only nevada residents can play. To be honest i dont think there ever going to launch an affiliate program.
Whats good for players is that they can cash out at any station casino.
Think if this goes legal for all the usa, poker affiliating in the US is done

Sadly, this is true, and might even be the case once online casinos are offered. This is already in the works in both Nevada and New Jersey, and the only big fight is over getting permission to accept players nationally.
Nevada’s governor has already started asking other state governors for private online gambling compacts (there’s almost a way around every law
). These wouldn’t necessarily be subject to Federal interference if written correctly and both states benefit from the action.Frankly, I don’t see Wynn, Fertitta, MGM, or any other group offering 25% revenue share for life. A couple good traditional media blasts and players will leave the 15X rollover, 10 day payout wait at the best online casinos for more trustworthy USA based brands, all of which offer some legal recourse if the games are rigged or money doesn’t get paid.
Marketing will be a cinch: USAToday, among others, covered the UltimatePoker.com launch. Usually online gambling only gets covered if someone is being arrested.
It’s possible large Vegas brands might do something similar to Twin Spires Affiliates Revenue Scheme, that is strictly a small CPA on a sliding scale that increases based on new depositors each month. The scale resets to zero the next month (so if you sent 20 players Month A you earn $80 a piece, but if you only send 3 in month B, you earn $60 each).
Remember, offering rev-share might not officially be legal in the USA (yet), so they can ignore this technicality and low ball affiliates.
Smaller affiliates building businesses will have a hard time competing. 10 new depositing players to WynnOnline at $80 CPA a piece is $800, hardly a living wage. On a rev-share, you stand to make more in the long run. The whales that many of us thrive on will produce a cheap CPA and nothing more. You might not even know if a player was a whale or not, depending on how statistics are tracked.
Once the USA market gets moving players will disappear from the offshores in a matter of months, and I don’t see Atlantic City or Vegas brands being particularly generous with affiliates if they don’t have to…

Eh, I dunno. The chief marketing officer is Joe Versaci. He was the boss at Poker Stars, North American marketing/operations for 7 years.
Poker Stars’ affiliate program always lagged behind, but IMO, they saw the value in affiliates.
He also owns “multiple gaming related web portals”: About Ultimate Gaming (scroll down to his info)
So it’s not like the poker room’s marketing division is ran by a bunch of neanderthals who think newspaper ads are still the best method to reach their demographic.
We shall see…

Ultimate Poker Launches Legal US Online Poker
More importantly, for gambling affiliates, Ultimate Poker inked an affiliate marketing deal with Income Access earlier this month. As of this writing, details of the program are still being worked out.

EvelinessaMemberGood post Keith. Don’t forget that you’ll probably need an affiliate license to market the program. Is anyone familiar with the licensing process?

Arjun CAP did an interview with the first licensed poker affiliate several months ago, September 2012. Jon Friedman of PokerTrip enterprises is the “first on the block” and legally permitted to do affiliate marketing for legal online poker sites in Nevada. He doesn’t quote a dollar amount but other sources on the web mention a roundabout $4,000 – $5,000 from start to finish. In order to clear the Nevada Gaming Control Board you must:
Quoting Mr. Friedman: “I was asked to provide detailed information about my personal, family, residential, professional, educational, financial, and any criminal background as well as bank statements, tax returns, birth certificate, real estate transactions, business documents, release forms, power of attorney forms, waiver of rights forms, you name it. It was an intensive process (although still not nearly as intensive as that of an online gaming operator applicant!), and for good reason.”
The $4k – $5k figure probably includes lawyers  that aren’t cheap by the hour.
That’s not an unreasonable amount of money to invest in a start up business, but significantly more expensive compared to the old days of building a website, joining an affiliate program, and collecting your earnings a month later.

I anticipate seeing legal Nevada poker sites being advertised on ESPN.go.com, major online newspapers, and Facebook micro-targeted to those who already play some kind of casino game for free. They might offer a fixed fee to webmasters with prominent sites on an annual basis.
It’s possible lucrative affiliate deals will only be offered to “Cadillac” webmasters who run the equivalent of SBRforum.com, PokerListings.com, etc. Some offshore sportsbooks have dropped smaller guys as a cost saving measure and only service large affiliates given they meet active player quotas (I’ve never quite understood how an affiliate can keep a player active AFTER they’ve signed up and deposited – in reality a ploy to force you to send traffic)

InactiveI swear I saw the Nevada licens cost was 500K, not including any legal fees. Hopefully I was daydreaming on that one.
