InactiveI was considering it when they had the first one, but when I contacted them they seemed to show no interest in affiliates, so I passed.
I’d be interested in hearing how it goes…

InactiveSame here, it would be very nice too see some market research or statistics, if the companies involved could share their results

I love promoting Bingo so far, it is much easier for me than promoting poker (and I suck at poker :inlove:), and it seems the big women blog hubs don’t take it as gambling, so it’s easier to get fellow girl/lady members.
I would be curious about some official researches from the Summit.

escapeMemberI’m just on my way back from London after the two day event. There were quite a few affiliates at this one compared to last year (10 – 15.) To be honest though, it’s not really focused at the affiliate side of it. There’s one panel that’s pretty basic but looks at using affiliates. This year Loquax and Bingo.org.uk were represented on it by Jason and Keirion. It was a pretty basic session to be honest.
That said, if you’re interested in bingo and online bingo, it’s worth attending as it’s a great source of ideas, the state of the industry and a great way of networking as well. This was my second attendance, and over the next week or so I’ll be putting together a number of articles on the summit for anyone who’s interested. There was talk that there would potentially be a bingo affiliate summit in the near future, but we’ll have to wait and see about that one.

Pam712MemberDio’s right, the summit is targeted at, and produced for, ‘the industry’ (operators/suppliers/software etc) rather than affiliates. However the number of affiliates, and aff mgmnt was up on last year.
As with all these things the summit is about ‘pressing the flesh’ and doing business as well as listening to the great and the good (and sometimes not so good!) speaking.
I wouldn’t ‘recommend’ it to affiliates but at the same time I would say that if online bingo is a major part of your portfolio and you are UK/London based then its possibly worth dropping in. Its not a CAP Or CAC by any means.

GoldfingerMemberHi,
I’m new to the online bingo industry and was wondering, can you tell me where I can find out about upcoming bingo and bingo affiliate conferences/summits, etc.
Any information would be helpful.
Thanks

KingsfortuneMemberThe affiliate session at Bingo Summit was short and basic.. and I think an opportunity was missed… but then 45 minutes in a 2 day event isn’t enough to give voice to 2 managers and 4 affiliates.
I kind of see why the summit is for “the industry” – but affiliate marketing is part of that industry and it’d be good next year to see more time dedicated to perhaps showcasing what affiliates and mega affiliates actually do and want from programs – although I did get the feeling that some one or two portal people don’t like to be called “affiliates”.. maybe just me thinking that though?

Or indeed iGaming Business which is bigger, better and oh if you are an affiliate here at CAP we will comp your subscription so a lot cheaper :hattip: And the next issue has a 12 page+ bingo supplement!
Sorry for plug!
Seriously though – We are already speaking to the guys at Bullet Business about helping them expand their event to have a specific track and section for the affiliate market and move the price so it is free for the affiliates which is always a nice touch :wink-wink
