InactiveThey might be looking for an online beating, if they lack proper spelling skills.
Besides sports, they could be looking to bet against other people at various things, like my personal favourite, the online coin toss, but more likely a p2p type site.
Possibly laws regarding the legality of online betting
A handicapping site which offers picks on various games
Betting on political or other events
Horse/dog racing sites only
Reviews or scam warnings
Famous gamblers
Books about online betting/gambling systems

InactiveThey are what I call “lookieloos”.
They need to be given easy, distinct choices so they can go and do what they are really interested in.
Anyway you limit general terms like that in ways of selection, you throw away traffic.
Sports would be the prevalent choice I bet, but there will be all sorts of folks mixed in.
I hate seeing good traffic wasted.
