vladcizsolMemberGood Luck Islandmaan. I hope it swings to your south and avoids both of us.
Curiously they still think its heading here by the weekend even though its way down south there by you and heading west…
Florida has had more then its share this year so I hope Ivan has other ideas.

InactiveMan, I really feel for you guys in Florida and Caribbean!
I had a great time in Miami last May, and I was giving some serious thought to buying a condo in Tampa, but this hurricane stuff has me thinking it’s not so bad in the “Great White North.”
Keep safe and I hope the storm passes you by!

Inactivewaiting for this storm is like waiting in a dentist office to get your teeth pulled. I don’t know how u folks in Fl handled it soooo many times.
It has been calm as death and only now a little rain a bit of breeze but we know it is all around us.
Can you believe today is my 3rd Wedding anniversary, we had planned a very nice dinner out, might end up with cheeseburgers and champagne:eek:

vladcizsolMemberIslandmaan please update on your status. This is a VERY bad storm!

InactiveVery weird, the island of aruba 50 miles west and the island of Bonaire 50 miles east had some bad beach damage and winds.
We on Curacao had barely a wind and light rain, I may have to water my yard. We are very happy for our outcome but I fear for Jamaica, it is now a cat 5 and is the strongest caribbean hurricane in 14 years.
Florida thank goodness is safe!
Brian

InactiveI hope you had a nice anniversary, islandmaan, and Professor, I didn’t know you were right in harm’s way again! Lets hope the projection is wrong – there is much room for error yet.
