InactiveIt’s been my experience that if you’re marketing an online product, online promotional means work wonders. I used to work in the travel industry as an affiliate account manager, and I had an affiliate who insisted he was going to drive traffic to his website using billboard advertising. He never made any money.

InactiveI chat up people at airports and in airplanes (nothing else to do) and hand out cards. I have gotten some very loyal players that way.

Inactive…oddly enough, the dealers many times are more interested than players at real casinos regarding online casinos and poker rooms. Also, younger people are more open to it than older people. It may not be a very high conversion rate, but one good customer can pay for many, many business cards.

InactiveI’ve just come back from London and when I asked the taxi for a receipt, the receipt I got had some promotional stuff from an online poker site and a coupon code that would allow the poker site to track players coming from this promotion.
I thought the idea of sponsoring taxi cabs receipts was a pretty cool one, particularly as the only people who ask for receipts for taxi journeys are businessmen who, generally speaking, have a higher than average disposable income.
