InactiveWhats even scarier is that I was contacted by one program whom asked what I thought about the hard times and whether or not I agreed with other “top” webmasters about the slow pace.
Its like they were telling me ahead of time they werent going to pay me much this month … sure enough (after a record breaking last month) this month is very slow.

InactiveWhat Arkyt said. After a record September, October is a dissapointment to say the least. Many affiliate managers I spoke with this week also verify October is slow so far. Several people are taking time to enjoy the fall season taking trips, and staying out doors as much as possible. When the leaves drop and it turns cold we should see a up swing in business. Still the industry is plagued with CC deposit problems.

InactiveAntoine express it … is that bad or good for you ?
If you’re doing bad … the industry is in trouble

InactiveI’m not doing horrible. Traffic wise i’m sending similar amount of players as i have been..
But the number of players depositing is dissapointing to say the least. I thought last month was bad but this month is worse. Oddly enough the poker rooms seem to have the reverse effect this month, with my number of deposits going up.
While poker rooms are around 15% of my income, i dont think they could ever make what casinos are making. I had a nice surprise at river belle poker.. a poker player was making me about $100 in rake a day for a week…. but alas he seems to have gone elsewhere or taken a break.
I’m really hoping that casinos can figure some ways around these credit card problems, it’s slaughtering the industry.

InactiveFor this and other reasons diversifying like you did was a very wise move.

I totally agree. This week I have talked to many affiliate managers about this. They are concerned as we are. There are solutions, but they are not acting on them as fast as they should.

InactiveThis may reak of conspiracy, but I believe there is a possibility they use current news events to justify greed.
E.G. … we will shave a little more this month and tell them its because of XYZ …
Just a thought …

Inactivemy top three performers for months now all dropped like a rock. i have poker rooms doing better than all 3 combined, that kind of drop.
my filler programs have each stepped up a bit, so when i add the numbers, the total is still right on line with average. i just don’t feel like i’m doing well because it’s only a little bit, but from a lot of places.

InactiveThats what I like to do. A little bit from a lot of places.
But I do like to pick a few to push a little harder too.

InactiveAfter doing extremely well in June/July/August .. September was a drop, but still decent, October looks to be better then September for me. Conversions are sure not what they used to be but hey, what can you do.
Some of my top performers are dropping off but income from a bunch of new places are almost making up for that.
I’m pleased with Referback this month.
