GuestNick I very much respect you, and your ability to handicap games but come on: considering the choices … would you think it more likely the player would have said: “look out Seattle”?
I’m about the biggest conspiracy charactor you’d ever meet but even that said: I can find no real basis for suspecting anything on this merit alone.
Now I know you’re likely to say there is more to your decision than just this … so I will give you that. but seriously … I can’t see any possible conspiracy for the player simply saying something that states he thinks his team will be playing the home team … which no less, had a considerable better record than the team they were playing (seattle).
get mad at me if you want, but I gotta call’em as I see ’em and this instance you’re reaching even to convince a conspiracy backer like myself.

But you didn’t see it
You didn’t see the way he said it, there was absolutely no hesitation or doubt in his voice, it was an immediate instictive shout the moment the game ended, like an adrenaline rush reaction, he was not asked the question or even thought about it for a moment, all impulse, nobody else said anything like that which was also odd
It’s logical to assume they thought they would be going to Chicago, they were the big favourite vs Seattle, but unless you saw exactly what i saw you can’t question my judgement, i know what i saw, i’m a good face reader, and it was a very strange comment to make
I don’t recall ever in my life hearing a player say something like that, it is considered unprofessional behaviour and disrespectful to the other team, i’ve heard players say who they thought they were going to play or who they would rather play, i’ve just never heard a player shout it out like that while still on the field, and be so certain of it, it was really odd, and only added to my existing suspicions.
If you saw that game, both teams are scoring at will at the start, then nobody can score at the end, i appreciate that teams can step it up and shut it down when needed, but i have trouble believing it can go from one extreme to another in just a few minutes, 4 complete reversals of form, 2 offenses, 2 defenses
I watched aerial views towards the end, hasselbeck is looking right at his wide open receiver on 3rd and 4th down but refuses to throw the ball, just stands there until he gets sacked, i mean if you ask me i’ll tell you the guy is a retard, but i have trouble believing anyone can be that big of a retard.
Holmgren also said something odd after the game, “hopefully they’ll let us have one more shot at it with this team”, i found that quite head scratching
It’s funny you know, when the police interogate a suspect they try to keep them talking as much as possible, about anything, the prevailing logic is that their guilty conscious will ultimately force out a slip of the tongue, people like to go to sleep with a clear mind and subconsciously want to rid themselves of guilt
P.S.
I don’t get mad, i get stabby
