InactiveHave to say i’ve never had a problem with my dell laptop other than the weight of the damn thing!
However I think Toshiba laptops are supposed to be pretty good at the moment.

vladcizsolMemberI love my Dell.
Prior to that I had a Sony which got destroyed by a virus (not its fault).
Before that I always had Toshibas and they were excellent work horses that never gave me any trouble.

InactiveCurrently I have a Sony… very nice but you pay big bucks for the name… before that I had a Toshiba and it was great… not over the top on price.
I have had one Dell and it was not great… although they tend not to like falling down the stairs… but it was the Dell strap on the carry case that busted :1circling

InactiveI’m on my third Toshiba (this one and the last one are both 17″) and I’ve been absolutely smitten with them. In fact, since getting the first 17″, I’ve basically tossed my desktop into my heap of dinosaur devices–my laptop is just that good.

InactiveI have a Dell Inspiron 6000 and its been awesome. The price is also very good. I have seen other laptops with similar features that are a lot more expensive. Seems you can’t go wrong with a Dell. Ofcourse I will have a different opinion if it ever blows up on me.
My roomate has a Toshiba and it seems to be really good too.February 9, 2006 at 4:53 am #683026Anonymous
InactiveAlways had a Dell but now I have a Sony Viao. I like it because the keyboard is BIG. I have heard great things about Alienware laptops as well.

InactiveI have a Toshiba laptop at home and several Dell Inspirons at work. Toshiba’s workmanship quality, sturdiness and overall design are much better than Dell’s to my opinion. I would never ever buy a Dell for myself.

I think those new Tablet-PCs look great. I’ve used them before, they are pretty neat. I’d go for a Toshiba or HP when buying a Tablet-PC. As for notebooks… I got a Sony Z1 series, they don’t make those anymore but everybody that sees it wants one. Great little thing.

I have a one year old Toshiba, which does the job. But, I want to replace it with a nice Sony Vaio – Primarily because I love their design, they look good and also have a good range of different spec’d models to choose from.

InactiveIn my opinion, Toshiba and Sony are currently the best brands for labtops – HP and Dell aren’t bad either.
Cheers,
