I have a meeting scheduled with David Sack next week in Miami to address these concerns. Hopefully we can find some middle grounds here where both parties needs are met.

I don’t believe in half-hearted votes – you either punch the ballot, or you don’t – don’t leave any hanging chads!

Spear makes a very good point here. It should be all or nothing.

I look forward to feedback from the Miami Cap conference as to the way forward we should proceed.

I hardly think that they would stop crediting us with cross promotions, that would surely be the last change in T&Cs they would implement. Ever.

If you have an account, you can push one or ten casinos, you always get paid for cross promotions.

I did test the cross promo and all recorded correctly.

If you only promote one of their casinos you have limited the impact to one source of income. Of course if you promote none, there is no impact at all.

Experience teaches me that people who earn well will not want to give up all, but sticking with a favorite and picking up new casinos to fill the gaps should not hurt so much.

I, too, have arranged to speak with David in Miami. I am not sure there is a way to sort this out though.

I’m still confused on how this all operates. Aren’t each of the casinos their own individual business? Which would mean that a player who wins at one casino would not affect another casino. Or, does FA own the top and bottom lines for each of the casinos they represent?

If they are loosing money, can’t they just change the odds they are giving to increase their top line. It always seems like when things are going bad with a company in any industry, the first item on the spreadsheet to be axed is the marketing budget (which in this case is where affilitate fall in).

If a player wins say on Platinum Play this will affect your earnings across the whole group, regardless whether the rest of your active players play on Royal Vegas, 7 Sultans or any of the other casinos which you promote which are part of Fortune Affiliates.

    Correct.

Here is an example as my FA stats each month remain consistently the same….

I’m using made up numbers here…

I make $200 in casino profits every month at Platinum Play.
Every month I always am in the red $200 at Vegas Villa.

Normally, at the end of every month my commission is around $50 on the positive side. All from Platinum Play, and Vegas Villa I get nothing.

And just as the casino every month has made positive amounts at platinum play and negative amounts at Vegas villa, I have as well…

    now with the new format….

The $200 I am in the red at Vegas Villa will completly cancel out the $200 I made at Platinum Play leaving me with empty pockets and a fat $0 at the end of the month. However NOW the casino will not only be making the $150 from platinum play as usual, they get to take the commission $50 they were paying me too giving them more profit and all my work and traffic sent was nothing but a waste of my time and banner space.

Now how can they call this fair especially since terms and conditions by both parties were agreed upon the signing up of and deploying of the program both as an affiliate and from the casino?

Well fairplay to the affiliate manager, here you have a guy saying look we arent making much money – If this is a lie its a dangerous one as it could be used againt the casinos in the group (ie players avoid them they are in financial stuck)

Looks like everyone has 3 options.

    1) dump them
    2) try and change their minds
    3) Work with the group, that has made you money ( if they have) and help them through this problem, they need deposits or they will end up going the way of so many microgaming casinos before – either going BANG or moving to a more profitable software provider – maybe the latter will be their option???

Hundreds of casinos to promote – just walk away from these jokers.

Think my question was misunderstood. I understand the math involved for the affiliate. The question was about how FA is running their business. Guessing that each casino is tied to the same income and expense statement, rather than each casino being treated as their own business unit, with someone responsible for 1 casinos profit and loss. This is how the real business world works. Pespsico owns Taco Bell and Pepsi, but they each have their own P&L that they are responsible for. In the end it all shows up on Pesico’s balance sheet, but if one business is run poorly, they can deal with it much more effectively. If every business were tied together at the hip, the ship would not float.

Guess I am providing business advice at this point (which wasn’t really my point), but it seems that each of FA’s casinos should be run as a separate entity and then there wouldn’t be this issue.
