Hey at least you guys from Canada and elsewhere had the oppotunity to withdraw your $$. You didnt wake up one morning to a locked account with no way to take the $$ out. This is no surprise. For those who still have $$ in neteller, go only knows why. Really, how dumb can you be the ship is sinking; they deny it but the writing is on the wall.

vladcizsolMemberThe ship already sank months ago. I cant imagine why anyone would leave so much as a penny at Neteller when you have to KNOW that sooner rather then later YOU will be locked out from your funds also.

Woah – slow down. There is no need to take out your frustrations on the rest of the world because you were affected. Also, nobody in this thread actually moaned and cried.
I agree that Neteller was not the best option, but many places in the world, that is/was the best option. There were not that many international payment methods available, except for check. When I receive a check, it takes up to 5 weeks before I can actually use the money because it is an international check.
With wire transfers and moneybookers not being offered by the majority of the casinos – what were we left with except keep using it and slowly migrate over to viable options, which are few and far between?

I agree Peralis. When everything was fine, it was still not really convenient to cash out money outside USA for NON-US affiliates (I don’t talk about Neteller here) due to the delays (very long), the bank fees for international checks (very high) and the conversion rate euro/dollar which is a lot to the advantage of US citizens… And that ‘problems’ were something US affiliates had not to worry about and that we were experiencing for years (and still!)… So we’re all in the same bag, we’re all having problems so no need to write a line or wall between US and international.

InactiveWe folks in the US have made it through the tough times so far and I know the rest of you can as well, this is not the time to attack each other but to band together and help get new payment methods out there and keep on doing what we do best.

Let’s see if you feel this way then NT Takes your $$ abruptly! But yes; your right. Keep using Neteller, they are a great and honest company!

I dont think we are attacking each other as much as expressing frustration with how Neteller has behaved. I believe affiliates are one community. We all market to the world, now more then ever.
I personally dont want to see Non US Affiliates have their money seized by Neteller like they did mine, thats why I chimed in.

InactiveI often question myself as to why I still use NETeller considering what has been happening, but quite simply it’s still the easiest, fastest and most trustworthy option if you are able to use it. If there was an alternative, I’d be all over it like a fat kid on cake. Moneybookers and Click2Pay have both been a nightmare whenever I’ve tried to use them, and like someone mentioned – they’re not offered everywhere.
If NETeller was truly in trouble, then I think Party Gaming, Ladbrokes and other big companies with all the insider info & intelligence money can buy would have dropped them by now. I really feel for the people stung by the US NETeller debacle, but it’s the US government’s fault, nobody elses…
Back to topic – it sounds like the problem was with the 3rd party debit card provider. (A credit union noted on the actual debit cards)
I think they will just source another third party to run the debit cards. Considering some of the operations I’ve come across that have access to the cirrus/maestro network I don’t think they’ll have too much trouble finding an alternative. Hopefully it won’t take too long.

biggygMemberI think Neteller got a big bullseye on their Head. And things get worst for them each day.Personally I have $20.00 on my card and $18.50 in my account .I cant imagine how i would feel if that was thousands as some of you have tied up so I really do understand how frustrating this is for you.
We have switched to ecocard and payspark where we can and wires for rest.I am sure we will slowly learn to live with the changes. To those still using neteller , I hope you can get all your money out by May 2 .

InactiveKris wrote:…I really feel for the people stung by the US NETeller debacle, but it’s the US government’s fault, nobody elses…Most people around this industry used Neteller for years as the best option for e-money management. On the last months the same people says the worst about Neteller. I understand that it is frustrating having the money tied but please remember that the US Government created this mess in the first place disrespecting all international laws and trade agreements.
All this mess is also frustrating for Neteller. They created a really good business from scratch, they have grown it, and at some point the US Government just have tried to destroy it. I’m sure people at Neteller would prefer to have all your money paid, instead of being tied, and to continue business as always. They are paying to European accounts in 2-3 days as in the past. This is a clear sign that they don’t do the same with US accounts because they can’t. Why would they deliberately destroy a market that may be responsible for 80% of their earnings?
If gambling transfers will persist as a business in the future, then there is no other company more able to do that than Neteller. If Neteller can’t, I don’t believe Moneybookers or Ecocard can.

InactiveIndeed correct Kris.
This is not an issue with Neteller but their card provider.
There is nothing to suggest that NEteller accounts are affected in any way.
Is there any other solution with an ATM card? Doesn’t look like it. I think NEteller will come up with a solution for a new card. It’s a differentiator.

InactiveIsn’t Click2Pay offering a debit card just like Neteller?
April 27, 2007 at 1:22 pm #735070Anonymous
InactiveNeteller is using a company call Pay Check. They are the ones that are pulling out on Neteller.
