I had the same thing happen when I made a Mastercard deposit to Neteller Arkyt. I think a lot of banks have Neteller coded as an Online Gambling retailer.June 29, 2004 at 5:58 pm #651145AnonymousInactive
NetTeller for Casinos and PayPal for all other internet transactions.:rasta:June 30, 2004 at 4:35 am #651155AnonymousInactive
I finally got my NETeller account started a couple weeks ago. I think it’s OK, but could be better.
Since I live in Japan, the only way to get my money is through the debit card. The problem is that they only allow $1K per day to be withdrawed to your debit card…and on top of that, they charge you each time you make the withdrawal to your debit card!
For me PayPal was much easier since I could attach a bank account even from my country…but I guess for most of you guys this is not a problem.July 2, 2004 at 7:47 pm #651319AnonymousInactive
No, Neteller is strictly for gambling transactions, and transactions among members.
Check this for more info:

Not strictly. Notice it says that “The most receptive market has been online gambling”. From their main page if you click on merchant information it doesn’t specify what type of merchant you have to be…
For those of you interested in the anonimimity (spelling) lol aspect of financial transactions, with top notch security and accuracy PREPAID ATM might be your solution. You can use the card at any ATM for instant withdrawals, it’s a tad cheaper then Neteller, they ARE NOT in the UNITED STATES, they are NOT A BANK, and they do NOT give out your inforation to anyone. You essentially are a number to them.July 2, 2004 at 9:13 pm #651329AnonymousInactive
Well, nobody had ever seen a Neteller merchant besides the casinos.
But it’s been just fine – however I dont keep money there (nor prepaidATM), because there is no guarantee that they wont disappear tomorrow, and then whacha gonna do, sue them?
I use them to get my commission and the withdraw using the next day FedEx and keep the money under the mattress 😎
