    hi
my account is doyoweb with bet365affiliates
I got quite big negative balance this month in my casino, I am really worrying about the negative balance won’t come back to positive, I have promote bet365 for a long time, and I have sent a lot of players to bet365, I am wondering if you can remove the negative balance if the account balance doesn’t go positive after 2 month? because I take bet365 for my 95% position when promoting, if I don’t have any earnings in a long period, I might have no money for my living spendings…
    Sincerely
    Regards

Just wanted to comment on this. Bet365 are quite superb. I have promoted them for a few years now and in my view they are the best run affiliate program and also the best run site for client experience too. They also pay very quickly indeed. I have also found their affiliate dept very helpful (Matthew is excellent).

They offer 30% commission, which beats most schemes, but their terms are that they carry over negatives. To ask them to change their terms and conditions just for you is a little cheeky, but if you don’t ask . . .

On a positive note, if your referred clients have won money recently then they are bound to continue playing and things will come right. You should be happy that you have players that are contributing a good turnover because without that you can’t earn big either. I advise you keep promoting Bet365 and ride the period when you have a negative balance. You may be surprised how quickly it comes right again. We have all been there.

Trust is the key issue between affiliates and the betting companies they promote. One of the many reasons I, like you, push Bet365 hardest is because I trust them most.

Same situation with me, I’ve tryied to push forward Bet365 over the last 3 month. Earned some £ last month but this month is ending with a big negative – minus 13K Pounds So I have only two options, the first option is to ask you to ZERO the negatives, and the second option is to say good bye to Bet365Affiliates, which I don’t want to do…. Please help. Username: alex777

    Hi Alex777

Can you please confirm that “alex777” is your username? I have checked the backend and this account has not been subject to the big loss you claim.

    Regards

Hi Andy – bet365affiliates. Checked my account today… I can say only one thing – I am lucky because the player was stupid, instead of taking money and run away he’s lost everything. So the problem is not a problem anymore. But I recommend you to talk to your bosses about the negative balances.

    Thanks anyway, Alex.

    Hi Andy
    my account is doyoweb
my account has’t turn to positive in this month, as you can see, I have been working hard in this month also, but my account is still under a quite big negative there…and all those negative are just come from the casino! look back to my May stats, the negative balance increase in an incredible way, but when I am chasing my numbers to positive, it’s really slow..

I have worked really hard in the past 3 months, but I got no earning at all…please help me with this really serious problem, these months is really suffering for me

I have been waited patiently as you suggested, but now the time frame has grow to 3 months now, please do something to help me..

    Your help is really appreciated..

    Thank you very much

    Hi doyoweb,

As promised, 3 months has passed since this occured and I have raised it with “the powers that be” for another review. As soon as I hear anything on the matter, I will be sure to let you know what the decision is.

I have noticed your hard work in the last few months, and have been monitoring your account closely. I can see that you are still pushing bet365 very heavily on your site, and working hard to bring the negative balance you incurred back to zero.

I hope to have an answer for you soon.

    Hi Andy
    thanks for your response

instead of pulling out bet365 from my website, I still take bet365 as my heaviest partner to promote in these 3 months, even though I get no earning at all, that’s just based on the trust to bet365, I believed that affiliates and casino are mutualism..

My most important job is to drive customer into bet365, and I can say I have done my part the best I can do… it’s time for bet365 to show that you are trustiness to your affiliates…
hope to have a good outcome for me..

sorry for the complains, but it’s the feeling for the long waiting..

    thank you very much, Andy

    best regards

I have to agree with some of the posters. Carrying over negative balances in the current climate is a mistake. Bet365 are good, as far as paying on time, but so are the rest of the UK online bookmakers.

I am not a big European sports betting promoter, but when I got hit with 30,000 pounds negative this Euro, I was quick to dump Bet365. Sorry, but I would rather get 25% with no negatives than 30% and have to work out thousands of pounds in negative balance and pray when I am on the clear no one will come and win again. There are plenty of non-usa sportsbooks which do not carry negative and offer sizable commission.

You guys at Bet365 should get with the program.

It is understandable that Bet365 resist zeroing negatives at a month’s end. After all they do suffer the loss and by zeroing negatives at the end of every month it does remove the sharing of liability, especially when they offer 30% and especially when they reward all cross-channel activity. They do pay fastest too.

I do not agree with the last poster that there are plenty of other options in the non-usa sportsbook market. If you look at all the firms then actually there is only one, in my view, that offers the same or better scenario than Bet365 (VCbt who do zero negatives and do reward cross channel). Only two other credible companies I can think of offer a deal that equals Bet365 (& one of them currently takes forever to pay). Of the other firms – many firms appear to be offering great deals but they actually are only offering separate channel deals (Lad, PadPow, Btfrd et al take a bow), which I find the most offensive ‘term & condition’. Or they have some other unique little short-sighted way of heavily reducing an affiliate’s commission (BlSq).

However, while I sing their praises, I think Bet365 are losing out here. If they are losing affiliates who can introduce clients who are capable of doing enough turnover to do 30k of damage then that is not good for Bet365. After all, bookies need turnover and if the negative carryover issue is turning existing affiliates, who have proved their ability to introduce clients and decent turnover, away (such as the last poster) then that is bad for Bet365. Posts such as the last one must sadden Bet365.

I have a suggestion. It is a compromise and compromises tend to suit nobody. But I really think this will solve the problem for Bet365 and ensure they retain affiliates caught in the ‘negative equity’ trap. Why not zero negatives that exist at the end of every quarter? i.e at the end of March, June, September, December.

I know that we we first started with Bet365 (back in about 2000?) we also had a couple of negative months while we built up a user base.

I will also share that the business plans that we put in place for our sites after the first shock means that we never allow a single site to grow to be more than 25% of our revenue – as it does put too many eggs in one basket.

As in most things guys, diversification is the secret to success.

Andy, you know that we promote Bet365 over at GoonersGuide.com and we are really happy with what you guys are doing … but the possibility of a large negative can still hit us … I beleive that we were down around 15K euros at one stage this month before turning it around.

So as DoyoWeb and Alex777‘s situation illustrates – that might actually be a useful option to have when you have affiliates you are really hopping into to bed with one major group?

In their case it does seem that the protection from negatives would be a good thing for smoothing revenue flow, and therefore useful for Bet365 in retaining good affioliates that have “bad luck”.

    Some ideas :

There may be a scope for Bet365 to offer different plans for longer term affiliates who have proven their worth to your organisation?

    No negatives ?
As suggested – a plan with a lower percentage share with the protection of no negative rollover? But only Bet365 will know what that percentage might be to be a similar overall payout offer – it could be as low as 20%-25%?

    Seperate streams ?
Or perhaps Bet365 can split the segments for Casino, Poker, Games and Sports, so that a major negative in one area does not affect other streams.

(eg If casino is -30K then that has to be worked off via casino traffic, but the other streams continue to pay).

    Case by Case
Or of course you can continue on the case by case basis as you do now. But if we lost 100K in a month – we would also have to look closely at the mid-term rev streams.

That being said – I consider outfits such as Bet365, Ladbrokes and PaddyPower as premium gaming destinations, with quality offers, great customers and affiliate support and MUST have destinations for any serious site promoting to UK and European players.

They are a class above the rest.

This is also a good idea – and seems to be a variant on the informal work Andy is doing right now. It would be best if it was written into the T&C’s though.

Although being fair if this quarterly insurance is offered then it affects Bet365’s bottom line – so sites taking this “insurance option” may also get a lower upfront percentage?

What I meant was that you have the choice of promoting non-usa sportsbooks AND usa sportsbooks, especially if you target EU markets. There are ton of good usa sportsbooks which offer 40% + cross channels and no negatives.

I know what you’d say, but let’s not forget that Bet365 also allowed US players until they were FORCED to stop. Licensed business is also no guarantee for longevity.

All this considered, Bet365 really has no leg to compete. I love the book, but with negatives, I am moving on to a sportsbook with lower conversion (and commission) but no negatives. Yes, it’s that important. I am not asking for Bet365 to change their T&Cs, that’s their decision (and problem). I am saying that because of the negatives I am dumping the book.

And although I am not talking about casino here, there is a LOAD of good online casinos with 30%+ Rev and no negatives.

    Fair points … but …

Please send me your Bet365 related traffic and visitors … I’ll take that risk onboard.
