I’m not sure what the hell is funnier. The fact that Kyl is worried about Gambling Bank accounts during the Congressional Inquiry, or the fact that Gonzales is probably wondering what the Hell is Nutcase Kyl talking about. I mean shit your talking about a guy who is going to most likely lose his job in the next 2 weeks under political pressure, and all Kyl wants him to do is fish around for Gambling Bank accounts? Dam, Kyl is off his rocker.
Maybe he is smart – maybe including this in a hearing about the dismissal of the judges will give him a lot of publicity.
Gonzales is on the ledge, if he falls so will his refusal of disclosure, and possibly it will help Kyl when he can say that Gonzales was a bad guy and the new guy is wonderful and will surely grant him disclosure.
Just trying to make sense of this
One thing you can bet on (no pun intended) is that Bush and his select Croonies (Kyl included) always have alterior motives for everything. Soon after the Anti-Gambling Bill was passed we learned why it was so important to Fiest (ala Campaign $$). Believe me, if wiley Kyl wants it done this bad there is something in it for him. Its most likely green in nature.
