neophyteMemberi know 2 ppl who have used mobile gambling (poker) out of like 200 poker players. not sure it will catch on given current limitations on technology (esp for realtime stuff like poker).. Trust is an issue and I wouldn’t like to be wagering with some company I have never heard of.. I don’t see any mobile gambling stripped down versions of stars/fulltilt etc, so i’ll stay well away..
I do however have a mobile gambling page on my site.. time will tell how it does – I haven’t looked at what traffic it gets yet but I am doubtful it will convert. I don’t think there’s a massive need or niche for mobile gambling.. they said the mobile phone game market would be worth billions by now and boy were they wrong….

CASINO JET7MemberThe software certainly seems to be getting better and better. A couple of years ago, I tried to download casino software for my phone and I could never find any that was compatible with my particular handset. But the operators seem to be getting their act together on this.
I have downloaded the Microgaming/Spin3 software and it works a treat. I can only see this growing, I just wonder what the player value on mobile versus pc will be like..

akcov68MemberHi JohnCAP,
Hope that you had a good weekend!
Overall, what tends to convert well for mobile casinos are WAP affiliates, and some mobile casinos do offer affiliates WAP links as marketing tools.
There are still challenges for mobile gaming as not all headsets are necessarily supported, but mobile casinos are a fascinating sector of the online gaming industry because of its new use of technology and because it is a relatively new way to do affiliate marketing.
Hope this helps! :hattip:

InactiveI would love to see a list of places that support mobile gaming.
I know Slotland does, and a number of others – is there a list someplace?

InactiveIs mobile gaming actually profitable now? I tried promoting mobile casinos a little over a year ago, and I didn’t make a dime. I was promoting Wild Jack Mobile, Slotland, Golden Palace Mobile, and Winward Mobile at the time.
Have things changed? If anyone is making (significant) money from this, please post!

WebzcasMemberHi all;
You can add Royal Vegas Mobile to that list. Tracking is as per normal through your affiliate account and there are both web and wap banners available.
Speak to your account or relationship manager for any further info (you can always ask me as well).
Cheers,

InactiveI’m the wrong generation to be considering mobile gambling. So I don’t believe that I can comfidently “talk the talk”.
My phone is the cheapest flip-top you can find with no added functionality at all – just take and make calls.

akcov68MemberHi all,
Another one to add to the list…Gold Mobile Casino.
It also offers WAP and web links. :wink-wink

Inactivetropez mobile with euro partners and Crazy Mobile Casino with vegas partners, Bookmaker mobile.
Also according to Candice at brightshare US players are not supported by spin3 software http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/news-flash-at-wild-jack-mobile-casino.25633.html?
The only one that I can find that supports US Players is Slotland and Bookmaker.

picturbikpiMemberI’d still like to know if any affiliates here have had success with Mobile gaming. Is the general public just not ready to gamble on their mobile phones? Perhaps the market may not be ready for it. Or with better technology the trends may change and affiliates can profit from this. If that’s the case, than we can work towards providing more content and suggestions to help affiliates monetize this niche.
Any thoughts?

InactiveI think it will take off when the technology is better. We need always-on wi-fi and NFC phones IMO before it takes off big time, but when both of those are in place, I can see it working well.
At the moment it suits sports betting more, as you only need to be online for seconds to place a bet. With poker and casino, you require a constant connection and in the UK that just ain’t happening at the mo, unless you are at home when the PC is a better option anyway. And in hotels and stuff, most ppl have laptops.
Mobile gaming will work for ppl “on the move” better IMO but every time you hit a tunnel on a train – bang…you’re gone, and it’s too slow and fiddly to bother reconnecting I find.
My feeling is now is a good time to get in so you’re up there when it finally becomes bigger, but that time may be 2 or 3 years away yet in most countries. I also found (playing MG mobile), you tend to bet a bit lower, plus it’s slower, but again, that will probably change over time.
I like the concept, but the industry is ahead of technology – a good thing in many respects though, providing the companies supplying the services can survive the period required for technology to fully catch up.
