The Army operates 3,000 slot machines on overseas posts . . .

While the outcome of this story is quite sad, it just irks me that the U.S. military takes in some $130 million on slot machines from soldiers overseas, claiming to use the revenues for various recreational activities for soldiers (p-l-e-a-s-e).

No wonder the U.S. is so against online gambling – they are in the business themselves.

    Here’s the story:

They have them in all the enlisted, NCO and Officers Clubs. Have had since I was in the service in the 60’s.

The services need better mental health programs and the need for the VA to better give treatment. Look at all the troops coming back from war zones, not only now but in past wars. Take myself, oneday I was in a fire fight the next I was in the states, ducking every time a car backfired or any loud noise. The VA is finally looking at the number of troops returning that have PTSD. At least playing the slots and drowning in booze gave you a time to relax
