InactiveI’m no boxing expert but my gut feeling is that Tyson would destroy him. I could be waaaaay off tho

I can’t see the match happening somehow, though…

InactiveIt could be a very interesting fight, I think. Depends upon Mike’s killer instinct at this point in his life. He had it way back… but does he have it now? He would have to weather the Kimbo-storm, also. He comes in fast and furious, not like a boxer would.
If Mike catches him, it’s lights out in a hurry I think.

vladcizsolMemberIf Kimbo rushes him Tyson will nail him and that coupled with his own momentum would be catastrophic. If I was Kimbo’s trainer I would advise him to start a little slow and feel Tyson out for a possible opening. That may lull Mike into making a mistake or getting distracted. The last thing in the world Kimbo wants to deal with is any angry Mike Tyson if he survives an ill timed flury.
If it happens I will definitely be watching, hell if its in Vegas I might actually fly out for that one. Elite XC puts on a hell of a show and I bet there will be equally entertaining bouts on the card.

InactiveYeah – we could tie it in with aff manager bouts! A rep from Income Access takes on someone from Casino Coins! Mainstreet v Vegas Affs!
I’m seeing some potential here…

… Then imagine the US Government as the referee – not going to let anything legal go, let alone the low blows.

vladcizsolMemberIf US goverment was involved expect a lethal first blow from a F22 Raptor. Shock and Awe in the ring! :3eyes:

InactiveIf you can dodge that fat ass Kimbo for 30 seconds, most people would beat him. I don’t know if he’s been training that but his stamina used to be 1/10. Though Iron Mike wasn’t exactly known for long bouts either.

Thats the rumor….
Mike Tyson to face Youtube bare knuckles legend and recent lower echelon MMA fighter Kimbo Slice.
What’s your prediction if this one actually comes off?
Mike is 41, but is a former World Champion and could knock out a bull if it stood still. Even at his age he can do tremendous damage to an unskilled fighter.
Kimbo is a real street tough (like Mike was) and in a bare knuckles situation can hold his own. He is 34 so he has a few years of youth on Mike. He still has not faced a skilled MMA fighter, so who knows what he can do. Up to now he has strictly been a side show oddity.
The ONLY reason this fight is even remotely interesting is because Kimbo did square up with Ray Mercer a few months ago and choked him out. Ray was never a killer like Tyson, he is now 47 and to be frank I think he made no real effort and threw the bout. From a marketing standpoint this paper win helped to validate Kimbo and right now MMA is hot and he could have value if protected and if he fights hand picked opponents like Mercer.
If they do fight will Mike take a dive too? Thats another possibility if the money were right. Mike is basically living on fumes now and could use a few bucks.
Kimbo is prolly gonna win, 90% of fighting is fitness, and a fighter closer to his prime usually wins, Mike peaked 15+ years ago, Kimbo looks like he’s peaking now
About the Mercer fight, Ray Mercer put a hurtin on Lennox Lewis like nobody else did at the time, losing a 1 point decision that George Foreman and others, including myself thought he didn’t deserve to lose, Lewis’ head was swollen like a balloon, and Mercer was a much better amateur boxer than Tyson ever was(Olympic Gold medalist), and a tough ass army guy, i always liked him as a fighter, and the truth is, nobody wanted to fight him, even Tyson, Lewis had to fight him cuz it was a mandatory bout, it’s too bad for Mercer he got into all kinds of trouble and discharged from the military for his crack/cocaine addiction, and then contracted Hepatitis, he had all the right tools to be one of the all time greats
Tyson winning this fight would be a great story, but it’s not realistic, in his last fight he quit and said he had no more heart left, and he’s up on felony drug charges, obviously he’s hit rock bottom, he’s barely a top 100 heavyweight today, with no MMA experience, and almost 20 years past his best days
Expect something similar to Kimbo vs Mercer to happen here, Tyson is not gonna be much of a tougher opponent

InactiveKinbo all the way, no chance Tyson could beat him. The guy is a monster and although Tyson is nails I think Kimbo would role him up and smoke him while sat in the bath after the fight!

ZlzmbmaxMemberKimbo could sneak Ricky Hatton in under his beard and then when they’re in the clinch the HitMan could go to work on Tyson’s body…
It could be the greatest secret in professional sports!
Oh…….. don’t tell any one, will you?

babacarMemberIf Kimbo takes it to the ground than he will win but standing up , one punch from Mike and it would be good night Kimbo and sweet dreams lol.
