InactiveAccording to the research I do, each of the MG casinos report different payout percentages for their games, slots in particular. They all have the same full pay video poker games though, meaning that for example the Jacks or Better Video Poker and variations will pay the same 9/6 payout at each casino.

InactiveOCR, those numbers they give are the actual payout percentages for the month. Couldn’t those numbers easilly be variance? Or do you have years worth of data?
It would be nice if one of the MG casinos could give us an answer, unless of course it is some closely guarded secret.

InactiveI do have a couple years worth of research and data that I have collected on a monthly basis while reviewing the different casinos. I could be wrong on this and be misunderstanding the question. It’s my understanding that the casinos are required to meet a minimum payout for each game, and this is where the variances come in. That leads me to believe that they can somewhat set the percentages.

InactiveI doubt they allow different house advantage percentages at different casinos. It wouldn’t make sense from a financial standpoint to allow each casino whatever payback percentages they want, aside from possibly starting out the base payout on a progressive machine. I don’t think casino licencees would trust Microgaming or the players.

InactiveI think all these casino’s can change their pay out percentages.
Some time ago I saw that the World cup mania payout can be changed, and that’s a MG game.
(I didn’t save the link unfortunately, but I found it through an affiliate newsletter promoting the game. When you clicked it you would end up at the microgaming site – the client version of it I assume – giving more details about the game)
I’m so stupid I didn’t save it, damn!:withstupiJune 20, 2006 at 11:39 am #696091Anonymous
InactiveThis is what I learned –
All Jackpot Madness or progressive slots from microgaming all have the same payouts. That’s why they are inclusive with the overall slots payout average. If they were to be varied, price waterhouse would include an additional percentage bracket for progressive jackpots. I was also told if the casino’s could alter the payout %’s of progressives, then those with the higher payouts would advertise to the fact, and they do not. It doesn’t cost the casinos a dime when jackpots are hit. I don’t know about other progressives using different software, but all microgaming casinos have the same payout % pertaining to the progressives.

InactiveFrom my knowledge, operators cannot set the payout percentages on the games. At least this was the case 4 years ago when I worked for an operator.
I would say that makes sense. Else MGS casino A would be running a campaign that their slots are looser than B, and I have never seen marketing like that.
RTG from what I know can set the percentages within a defined range.
