KasinoportalenMemberPenguin hit me hard in all niches. It wasn’t a success in my opinion! I mean, just look at some of the sites ranking now. Someone noted on another forum how when it rolled out you could type “make money online” and it was a blog with zero content ranking #1. I’m sure there are many, many examples of this. In my niches, mostly sites that are terribly built and with poor content rank.

rahhaanMemberYes I agree in some cases it is bad however it is also important that the sites with less content and less value to the users ranking because they have back links from some PR sites … It was good for me when i saw a huge increase in my traffic.
It has impacted the jobs of so many link builders I know those who have lost their jobs because of these changes and hard work for webmaster to get their link removed from the so called low quality site.

voodoomanMemberIf your website was a glossy magazine how would you get it off the news stands and into readers hands? If you spent a fortune on advertising it would work but your ad spend would only be worth it if your readers found your content interesting in the long term.
I’ve never been a fan of artificial link building because in the long run it has no value, it is just annoying background noise.
Information is king, not content.
