I’m UK based and just starting to look seriously at paid marketing options too.
As far as I’m aware, the ban on gambling advertising on Google, Yahoo etc covers the UK as well. If they have relaxed that following on from recent UK regulatory activities, then that’ll be interesting…but i suspect you’d then need to follow the UK gambling advertising guidelines (can get you a copy if needed)

I’ve had limited success with abcsearch, they allow gambling ads and geo-targetting to UK.

    Hi,

while i cannot speak about directly marketing the UK ….. I can say you will experience serious click fraud with yahoo ..

be very careful even if you do get in…. it tough …. and will take your money quickly and ruthlessly if not carefully approached.

I’ve read their rules as they have supplied me a copy, but I could not find in there anywhere where it talks about what is required for location other than your site has to be in the UK, which it is. I had corresponded with Yahoo a few months back to confirm they do allow gambling sites and they told me they did and this is why I set up an account. This is why I was wondering if they look at the registration info on the domain.

But now I’m also hearing that there is alot of click fraud going on – then maybe its best I stay away from Yahoo and find an alternative method.

    Thanks for your advice.

I’m in the same boat as you. I use Bidvertise for my PPC ads. My host is also in the UK and I reside in the US.

It is very easy. Register a UK address. search UK address on google. You willl find many UK address forwarder. I am working with a virtual office company who provides street address registration. You can use this address to receive bank statement, gov documents etc.
