U talking about buying ads or link exchange?

let´s say a big site that may attract gambling traffic is selling links. Would you put your ref link for e.g. Spin Palace on there directly or drive traffic to your site?
And if you choose the ref link would there not be endless opportunities for the site owner to mess with your ref links (redirects, all sorts of scripting etc.).
