InactiveThe only reason Lycos is introducing Intellimap is because Findwhat is… LOL…
I would tend to agree with you – but in a way it may not be so bad because there can only be so many different uses for the words “casino” and “gambling” LOL.
On the other hand, it will almost certainly put us all in direct competition with each other, since none of us will be able to get away with our preferred little niche phrases any more.

InactiveQuote:When it rains, it pours.Look at it as a challenge. It certainly isn’t easy to get to the top, even by paid means unless you have a bottomless source of funds.
On the other hand, it will force you to discover new methods of marketing, or tapping into existing sources – and hopefully in the long run it will separate the wheat from the chaff.
There are many – almost too many – English-language portals out there, which make it competitive to begin with, even though most of them rely on a unique source of traffic like friends and family and word-of-mouth. It’s not like I’ve been able to compete on the upper scale with the big spenders anyhow, so I’ve worked on finding other ways to land players.
I would suggest everyone else consider that – if we each tap into our own unique resources to attract more clientele, the industry in general will benefit, thus assuring us a longer run. If we are all fighting over the same pile of players, however, it won’t be long before most of us have departed for greener pastures.

That I have been expecting.
I haven’t been expecting both google and ppc traffic to sour at the same time, lol.
And I liked my preferred little niche phrases!

True. And don’t forget that we are fighting over them not by ourselves, but we are fighting with the very casinos we work for.
They compete with us in the PPCs, through scumware, and lately by putting up their own aff sites and trying to seo them.

GuestDom,
Focal has been putting up “gambling portals” for years. Its nothing new to them.

InactiveCan you give me examples? I have a list of casino owned portals going in the private forum, could you kindly take this there?
If you are talking about peak rewards – they credit the original aff when a player goes there and changes casino.
