it would be nice to have that as an “option” maybe as there are scenarios where it would be useful.
True — good point. As long as the programs verify site ownership, I’d have no problems with this! I’d still be cautious about the apparent 50% loss, though. Maybe this could be improved by hiring some better coders.

InactiveSo is cookie stuffing possible today or not?

InactiveThat’s what I thought.
That makes any accounting that does not credit the last referrer unacceptable. Period.
I hope we don’t go to war over this again, I hope the programs that do not have overwriteable cookies will change their cookies.
My site concentrates on actual sales and sends presold customers that convert easily. I am not selling for someone else’s benefit.
Every property I find out about that doesn’t have overwritable cookies will be removed.

InactiveI agree with you, Dom. That’s why I wanted to get a list going.
Affiliate managers should be posting in this thread. If your program credits the last referral, please post here so that we know!

I agree with you Dom and once we get that list I’m cleaning house.
I did not really have a problem with the first affiliate getting credit instead of the last person, but the cookie stuffing blows that right out the water now.
I’m positive that we can count on crooked affiliates to utilize any method possible to steal traffic and get credit for the work of others so I’ve changed my mind for that reason.
Bring on the list please.

Hi Engineer,
You have started an interesting thread. The programs in Income Access credits the last referrer.

WebzcasMemberWe don’t use cookie information when reading a tag, so this thread is a little difficult to answer. In the example given by Engineer, we would credit the tag in the link used to open the account – so the last referrer.

Not necessarily it just depends at what point the user is being stuffed. Whether he is stuffed before or after he visited the legitimate affiliate’s site. If he is stuffed after visiting a legit site then last referer will give the rogue aff credit.

InactiveIn that case the stuffer is the last referrer and earns the player like everybody else.
If the player stops elsewhere before playing, that affiliate will get credit despite the stuffing since the cookie is overwriteable.
It gives the stuffer little advantage.

Hi Marvyn,
I have some questions about how your system works, so I created another thread over here to avoid derailing this thread.
