If you can’t find it without using the search function, you likely won’t be found by any spiders. I’ve noticed this once or twice with sites running Link Manager, it could be an issue of the webmaster not pushing the link live, so you may want to contact them again. Not really sure how Links Manager works though as we also do everything by hand when it comes to link partners.
If you try a Google search within the site for your link, doesn’t Google need to have spidered the page before it will find what you’re looking for anyway?
If I’m suspect about a page I either search for a few other links on the page or go to the front page and follow the links to the page my link is one checking the code.
