Got scammed by the owner of Brainbetting.com who prosimed the article would remain on his site permamtly. I spent a long time writing it and he charged me a decent amout to post it too

Just letting the wold know. Maybe someone knows who it was and could ask him to make it up to me I guess, but if not at least if you know who it is you now have fair warning. Oh course he could just post here that he refunded my money but I suspect he’s long gone.

Hi guys
I been working in that industry for years
my office working with the same clients for a very long time supplying links on weekly bases

here is few tips to avoid scams

1. Find 1-2 marketing offices that will work finding links for you and having money refund/links replacements options – the same as you using brokers for stocks there is brokers for links – it is a proffesion

2. sellers – NEVER agree on 3 month deals – most of the crammers will buy a link from you for 3 month and sell it to the client for 6/12 month

3. use ONLY paypal – it’s the only insurance you have at least for the first 45 days – moneybookers usually used by eastern countries which unfortunately 90% of the scammer from there
4. IF somebody claims that it is his own site then ask him to place sample link in 10 minutes – from my experience a scammer will say ok and simply go away

I can admit that I been scammed as well sometimes but it was only 3 times at a period of 6 years so I guess my tips is working

Anyways, thanks a lot for all the warnings and black lists!

I’ve been in this industry for many years and azarweb’s tips are the same ones that I follow.
I also try to minimize my work with brokers and focus on working directly with bigger and more respected companies and usually make a rather small first deal to see that all goes well while making sure they aren’t coming up with lame excuses regarding the payment.
Unfortunately, many of the scammers are from India and Eastern Europe. This is usually a warning sign for me, although obviously there are some good and honest business partners available there.

If all goes well, the main priority should be establishing a long and mutually beneficial business relationship and not a one-time hit and run jackpot…
