    Hey guys,
I just started up an affiliate website and I live in the US. I am a member of Pacific Poker, Casino On Net, Planet Luck Casino, Party Bingo, CasinoBlasters, and Party Poker Affilliate programs. Is there any legal issues with being an affiliate? Do you have to have a license or anything? Notice, I am not asking about the legality of online gambling. I want to know the possible repercussions of being an affiliate for online gambling sites.

Also, I have a great business model, but I can’t get any people to sign up at my site. Any advice?

To read about legal issues, please go to the legal section on this forum.

There is no law against any type of advertising in general – it is a right guaranteed to US citizens as freedom of speech.

There has been no specific law passed that adresses advertising online gambling.

There a bunch of people who wish there was and just pretend there is in order to scare people.

As to why your site is not producing – I have no idea. You need to show and tell a lot more.

Well, I just started my site a week ago. My major problem is that it is a geocities site. Where can I buy a cheap domain and submit my website to it. I’ve never done it before.

I have a set up where I pass some of my profits back to the players that sign up through my site. In fact if they withdraw their money, they make a profit without even gambling. But no one trusts that I will come through on my offer.

try godaddy.com or doster.com to purchase a domain name. It is not wise to start a casino/poker portal using a geocities domain.

Also, you do realize that PartyPoker specifically states that they prohibit any affiliate from offering players they sign up any type of “rake” rebate. I see a lot of affiliates promising to give 10-15% of the rake back to any player who signs up through them. Be careful in regards to this matter.
