We are proud to sponsor the 888.com World Headsup Poker Championship that was held on May 21-30 at Casino Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain. The tournament, now its seventh year, featured 128 players in no-limit Texas Hold’em, in exciting one-on-one elimination rounds played through to a final heads-up match. The champion of the final round, Jeff Kimber, has been named World Headsup Poker Champion for 2007 and has come away with the €125,000 grand prize of the €320,000 total prize pool.Since April of this year, we ran online qualifiers to win a seat at this event. Winning players of our “Matador” freeroll were given a chance to win one of a minimum of 4 seats. Twelve 888.com players enjoyed the chance to complete in the tournament.
