wow! don’t doubt you friend….. just asking.
apparently I’m behind on the times.
It isn’t quite mobile gaming as you can’t take the device out of the hotel area or to a bedroom – I think the idea is that the hotel will give you a mobile device so you can play games out by the pool, in the bars, restaurants etc
Just googled this article xxhttp://www.nytimes.com/2006/05/03/technology/techspecial3/03gamble.html?ex=1186632000&en=ccb41707d7e63561&ei=5070

this is just portables…it will take a good 3 yrs before they make it to the internets in order for the same technology to work online and during that time software makers like Microgaming won’t be sitting around either…
at the end of the day the current obstacle for casino games to be more “entertaining” is for them to get more graphical. the average internet connection doesn’t currently allow for such fast exchange of information.
just a thought…

InactiveCan you say money pit? Not talking gm here…
I think they are gonna pump a bunch of money into their properties and get very little to nothing back..
UNLESS…!
They somehow make a law that allows them to market to American players… Notice I did say “they” …. lets be honest this is what the plan was from the beginning and why Harrahs supported that bill.. it was harras right?
Anyway, this could be the start of a wild ride.

aaronsmithMemberI think affiliate marketing will be around for along time to come aspecially here in the UK. Just because these guys enter the business it will yes make a difference to the other online casinos trying to compete but they will still want advertising across the net I would have thought. If anything happens to affiliate marketing it will be regulated more but not destroyed…..lets hope!

InactiveIf gambling online becomes legal in the us in my opinion one superbowl comercial would bring more hits to a site than all of us affiliates combined. and lets face it alot cheaper on the casinos. To me regulation looks bad.The land based casinos in vegas can aford to give away houses and cars to random signups. They can give a dollar comp per dollar played to get people to vegas if a player wins 10k he will be given a free trip to vegas along with it. (they will want it back) lol anyhow my view is it will be good for players but bad for affiliates and curant casinos. However i am praying i am wrong.

InactiveCigarettes are regulated in the US, but there are no commercials on TV for them.
I doubt the NFL would allow a gambling site to advertise in the middle of one of their games, in their opinion it would destroy the integrity of the game, they would never let this happen.
