I can’t see how the browser would affect tracking? Maybe the way they set the cookies? Other than that all the scripts should be server side and not be affected by browser types. What’s the technical basis for the claim you’ve made and who told you. Mind you I believe you I just want to know why this isn’t working.

Ultimate Bet (through Income Access tracking) had the same problem. It was never fixed.

I think Ladbrokes also uses Income Access tracking.

Thanks yes I was told by my aff manager as I tested it out this weekend clicking on my own banners and playing poker. I can;t see how Firefox can affect the tracking and I was just wondering if this was the same with all affilaite programs or just some. Thanks for the heads up

That is a main reason I do not promote income access, I have the email from them somewhere saying they ant track firefox, and that was over a year ago.

That’s ridiculous. It’s bad enough Microgaming seems to be too lazy to make their free games work with firefox.

Are you sure? Are there any proofs about this problem? Because it seems really strange to me.:sarcasm:

How is it in general with tracking with browsers when cookies are blocked?

Can we make one sale if somebody blocks all cookies with IE?

Is this really true? In that case this is a scam. There is no reason this can’t be fixed asap unless of course they don’t want to fix it. Thanks for the warning. This affiliate program should be blacklisted.

The Ultimate Bet / Firefox problem was never resolved, as far as I know.

Read these old threads for more info:

    http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/problems-with-ultimatebet.9463.html?

    http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/firefox-tracking.9491.html?

I would like someone from Income Access to clarify exactly what is going on, with Ladbrokes and with the past Ultimate Bet issue.

Is it true that Firefox users aren’t counted?

Firefox (v1.5) lets you display the cookie info. You can see when a cookie expires and check your affiliate id. Some are years while others are a few days, others are at the end of the browser session.

Tools > Options > Cookies == View Cookie Tab (on left)

    Hi casinoalerts, and everyone,

Many thanks for your posts. Not sure where you heard that Ladbrokes doesn’t track through firefox in Income Access. We carried out our own testing using both Firefox and IE before the program launched and the player stats came through fine on both browsers.

Did you test it yourself? Did the tracking work? If not, feel free to send us an email with the link you used and we’ll have a look at it.

The IA tracking software functions properly using both IE and Firefox, as can be seen in programs like Ladbrokes, Jackpotjoy, Lasseters, Bingo.com, and so many others. We have encountered cases where an operator’s software cannot read Firefox cookies and therefore cannot track properly. This was the case with the UB-Firefox issue Engineer, it that had nothing to do with our tracking software. In such instances, we try to do our best to work with our merchant partner to get this resolved or come up with other solutions.

    Hope this clarifies things.

As always, let us know if you have any further questions.

    Many thanks,

    Sarafina

You’re very welcome Engineer. Always glad to be of help. :)

We have a unique position in our industry where we hold the position of a third party and don’t own any of the operators we partner with, so it is always our priority to ensure that everything works properly for all parties.

We’ve certainly had our challenges in the past no doubt, and like any successful business, we learn as we grow and continue to stand firm on our priorities – building and keeping solid trustworthy relationships.

Hope to see you next week in Barca. :)

    Cheers,

    Fina

in fact i 2nd the fact that ultimatebet dont track with firefox. i had a chat with them in terms of why my downloads dont track about a year ago, and they admitted that it doesnt track. they also indulged themselves into telling me that this will be fixed. a year went by and … oh well.

drop ultimate bet if you dont like it..i never earned a cent. but would still like an explanation.

in terms of incomeaccess, i’m not sure. i only use mozilla stuff as it can show much more info then IE particularly when add-ons are there.

but…here is a story…i’ve been promoting jackpotjoy for a while now. but conversions have been ZERO for the last 9 months. which to me doesn’t make sense as all other programs convert. then i tried to depost money through firefox, and it worked. although i did get $10 commission for a $100 deposit…

yes i blew the system, i abused my account by depositing myself, but wtf else was i supposed to do? ask my aff. manager to deposit for me? in any case, i still dont get how come…

Actually several casinos have problems with tracking, when players use Firefox. And now I’ve been noticing that not all casino software are compatible with Vista…. :sarcasm:
