It was introduced and passed in less than 5 minutes. You can read the text of the bill at http://www.startcasino.com/627.php3

From here it will go to the Senate floor. My sources do not indicate when a date for debate/vote is to be selected.

It would be most likely combined with US House of Representatives bill HR-2143 ( http://www.startcasino.com/2143.php3 ), which passed in June. Both bills need to be similar in order to count as being passed by both houses of congress.

IF (and IF) it passes in the Senate, then it goes to the President for approval. The White House in January stated it was looking for a measure agains internet gambling, so a veto would be unlikely.

That’s where this stands as of today.
