Thesis is great if you are looking for an out of the box all in one theme.
The only problem I have with it, is if you want to do some heavy coding to the theme.
Thesis has enough options to tweak it, but if you’re pulling in feeds to insert into custom templates and formats its not so good.
If you haven’t checked it out – definitely worth checking out!

on GamblingShares the Article Directory plug in does change the theme to a Special theme Article Directory
then you need to personally update the plug in as author stopped few years back
