Look for these to be shut down soon. I looked into this before and have a domain giftcardbidding.com but after researching it I find its more illegal than grey. The software provoder for most penny auctions (the real name of these) also sells a bot to bid against real people. These are 99% scams, plain and simple.
When you read the terms of these sites you see that A, most are not in the US, and b, the money that is to be paid for the item, The bidded amount is dontated to charity.. When we give to charity its a sure sign they are avoiding somthing.
You pay for bids, so a person can bid for an item and not have anything in return, hence gambling to be the last bidder. Its a giant money making idea, but it will soon be illegal to run if its not already.

If you don’t mind, I would like to reply:
a. We run highest unique bid auctions, and not penny auctions, and this is a completely different concept.
b. Our systems are completely transparent to the user:
– At our auction site there’s a table where you can see all the bids placed, at real time.
– No such thing as automatic bots, script or any other fraud.
– We’ve got a shipment document for EVERY auction that has been completed.
– We’ve got testimonials from our auction winners, in chronological order.I do agree that online auction sites should be somehow legally monitored, but I’ll be the first one to let any government official go through our books.
We’ve got nothing to hide, we believe in long term profit, not interested in the $$s that we make tomorrow. Real long term profit comes with company value, which can only be reached if you are honest.
So anyway, I’m confident that we’ll get there. The only question is – who is going to hop in and join us.
