I received the following newsletter from FortuneAffiliates:

    FAspammer.jpg

The link “International Blackjack League” has the following url: http://www.softleatherwallet.com/IBJLHOME/default.asp?btag=FA241008

I can only assume that this is spam otherwise why would you use a url like that and also include an affiliate tag?

I received the same e-mail with the same link and affiliate tag, but mine was sent from the domain fortuneaffiliatesuport.com. I would guess that it is not spam.

Mine was apparently sent from that email address as well, but that does not mean it was actually sent by Fortune Affiliates.

Why would they include an affiliate tag and why route the link via some unknown website. Very spammy.

I received the same one and another reminder email revealing my password.
I delete both of them and am waiting for a reply.

I received another one of these this morning and I also received the email with my “forgotten details” that I didn’t request.

    What’s the deal here FA?

    Hi Wayne

Are you going to respond to this thread?

This spamming is looking more and more like an inside job.

Ignoring us won’t make the problem go away.

    Hi Guys,

I’m sure that most of you had received this mail 3 times.

One was sent on Friday as a notification that the Blackjack software would be going live on Monday. Then you would have received 2 emails (1HTML and 1-Text) to notify you that the software is currently live. The reason you received HTML & Text mailer notifications was to make sure everybody was aware that the software was live.
The mailer was tagged with a special tag for our own tracking purposes. It is not an affiliate tag.

What makes this promotion unique is that there is a promotion for affiliates too. That is why you will see the “Download Blackjack” button in the mailer. It is so that you, the affiliate, can download the software, if you don’t have it already, and take part in this Multi-Player Blackjack tournament. Great prizes to be won.

Wayne why is the link routed via xxsoftleatherwallet.com? IMO that is very spammy and not very professional for a company like yours.

    Thanks Wayne,

I tried the Blackjack Tournament and really like it!
It’s a lot more fun then the Slot Tournaments. Good Blackjack Tournament software is hard to find online. These games are great!

Now what about those random password reminder messages landing in inboxes without anybody actually requesting their login details? Do you have any explanation for that? I am not the only one in here interested in that. I got at least THREE!

    Hi Goldfinger,

I have PM’d you about the reminder messages landing in your inbox.
I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Wayne
