I agree domain age is just one of many factors G looks at when it ranks a site. However, I’m not a big fan of paid directories any more since G has penalised us heavily in the past for submitting using paid directories. Nowadays we’re focusing more on quality content and guest blogging.
Sorry Cdude I was really pointing out that pokerlistings has a LOT more backlinks, when you stated in the orig post you have all the same ones..

Yeah… I was pretty confused by that statement too
I hope this is one big level – PokerListings offers so much value to online poker players, while your site offers banners and that’s about it.
While age is an obvious factor that helps with Google, PL is ranking on top because they actually are one of the best sites in the world in their niche. + Of course the aspect that they had more than a dozen people working on SEO for years.

I’m still trying to get back to my normal unstressed self i used to be befeore a few family things happend, getting there slowly

yes i see poker listings backlinks are alot more , well have to wait and see if longevity might just be a reason
