InactiveThere are definately Forex affiliates here because I have met and chatted with them at CAP events – In fact we might be getting a Forex affiliate program to sponsor an event at CAP Spring Break.
From what I have heard it can make you some serious $$ if you rank but it is really competitive – PPC is completely out unless you have serious wedge and know what you are doing. I was thinkijng of approaching it through possibly offline marketing – Interested to also hear actual feedback

InactiveIt is a hard market to get your head around and only recently I have started to see success from this market. It is very different than the online gaming sector with the exception, the forex market is still gambling, but in the money market.
I have done some considerable research on what works for a Forex affiliate and what does not. Here is basically my findings through looking at the stats of 5-6 different solid forex programs I am a member of.
1) The conversion from lead to depositor is about 1 in 9, so basically you need to see about 20 or more leads to see a couple of depositing leads. This ratio has been a good bench mark for me.
2) My site receives about 3,000+ hits a day and from that I send about 5 leads a day. You need to generate considerable traffic to make money.
3) The average deposit is $2,000 (this is the part I like as once you get those depositing signups onboard you are cash rich).I have summarized my findings of quality forex affiliate programs on http://www.forex-rates.biz/forex-affiliate-programs.htm
Good luck,

InactiveWhat I am wondering is how your exact cut is calculated. Do the forex platforms take like a 2.5% cut on all trades and the aff rev share is 25% of those 2.5%? Just trying to get my head round how the aff profit is calculated.

InactiveThe commissions are calculated on a percent of the pip. Basically 20% of the pip, and some also give a CPA as well.
You make a set percent of the house profit, which is calculated as part of the fee generated b pips.

InactiveAlright that’s what I thought. So in some ways it’s more reminiscent of poker and rake. So regardless of the deposit you have to hope they “wager/trade” a lot once they’ve deposited.
Am I right in assuming you are on revshare with all of your programs and is that what you would recommend? :hattip:

LuckyLoveMemberHey Goldfinger, Simon
I run the affiliate program at FOREXYARD, where we offer CPA, Revshare and Hybrid commission deals. Forex revshare is indeed similar to a poker rake: regardless of whether your “players” profit or lose their investment, you will still generate the same commission, based on the volume of trades executed by your referred players.
In terms of choosing a commission plan, revshare is the best long term option in my opinion – our highest earning affiliates/introducing brokers are all on revshare. Granted they either bring large depositing clients or high volumes of targeted traffic, but so long as you can consistently convert, then you have a good chance to generate decent monthly earnings.
Aside from currencies, we also offer the ability to trade commodities, such as Crude Oil, Gold and Silver. This is a niche area of the trading market and can be very profitable for revshare earners, as the minimum trade sizes involved are larger. A few affiliate sites promoting commodity trading have appeared in the last few months, but for the most part this niche is untapped!!
