I don’t know..this is weird..When I withdraw from my acct to my card i only pay a $2 fee..of course then I have to pay the atm fee as well..thats the only downside is two withdraw fees..but honestly $2.00 USD is not horrible..

    but really
that much fees happened to me twice
    hmmm

and they say there is monthly fee for the card
    i really dunno…..lol

i dont speak about the 2$ fees but on the exchange of currency at the time you ask the withdrawls
for exemple i have money on their account by usd dollar why then they exchange them to canadian dollar

It appears that Neteller charged you two currency exchange fees – once for converting dollars to canadian and then converting back to dollars. I have heard that Neteller does charge a 1.9% fee to adjust for “currency fluctuations”

    From x-rates.com (5:30 AM EST)
    1 Canadian Dollar = 0.88739 US
    1 US Dollar = 1.1269 CAD

    $1000US x 1.1269 x 0.981(1.9%f ee) = $1105.4889CAD
    $1105.4889CAD x 0.88739 x 0.981(1.9% fee) = $962.36

A few cents short of what you have in your account, but I don’t how they round their numbers.

Send neteller an email, and see if they’ll adjust it for you, the whole thing seems pretty shady since I’m sure that you’ll be hit with another fee for withdrawing money in canadien dollars :shooter: –

I’ve noticed that when withdrawing UK pounds from the neteller card around 5% of the money widthdrawn gets lost somewhere from the card balance.

Yeah, I’m from Canada too, they kill me with their exchange rate.

I lost so many bucks before figuring this one out :) Now I make sure to write it down or keep my last receipt because I always forget what my card’s balance is!

Neteller is the most extortionate electronic payment method I’ve seen.
They charge more than real banks …

err .. anyone know where I can buy some Neteller stock?

Seriously though – merchants need to get into some of the cheaper e-money systems that are a little more global.

Eg. Moneybookers.com – UK licensed and approved. Pays to 100 countries. Maximum fee on transfer is 1.80 Euros !!

Funny, i mentioned this to Absolute Poker, when i received last months payment from them, Neteller took me for over $100 on the exchange rate, i think it was over $150 to be more precise, i have it written down

I thought that was just plain robbery, and not something i wanna deal with every month, so i proposed an alternate payment method
