Is CAP Spring Break good for getting new deals with programs?

I have never gone to a convention and NOT come back with deals. This includes CAP Springbreak.

Unlike traditional conventions where there is a large show floor with hundreds of booths in Miami we focus on networking (thats the true value of these gatherings anyway so why not make it the focal point?) and have events which foster that.

Yes we certainly do have a lot of fun, but we also get a LOT of business done too.

The CAP Spring Break, which started out as a dozen or so hard core affiliates getting together to share food, drinks and ideas, has now turned into an industry model which other affiliate industries should take note of.

Nowhere else you find the quality of people and professionalism found at this event. And besides, it’s Miami Beach!

And it’s chilled and less formal, which IMO, is the best way to network and make deals.
You want deals? We’re making ’em at Spring Break!

No booths, we hang and chill and talk to the managers and yes, it’s a great way to make deals.

Also, once you know everyone face to face, it is infinitely easier to communicate and hash things out the rest of the year.

I haven’t been to one of these things yet.. I’m comin’ soon I tell ya.. but haven’t been yet, but I hear what you’re sayin Dom.. Can’t count how many times I’ve talked a friend about an affi manager that was on my very last dang nerve, and had my friend tell me, ‘wow, he’s a pretty kool guy in person’

It’s to easy to forget that you’re talking to a real person when we type our questions, answers, and concerns all day long. Emails tend to be factual, and not friendly, and noone has personality.

Once you get to know each other, hang out and have a good time… you can’t help but think about who it is your talking to, and eventually, affiliates want to help webmasters, and webmasters want to help affiliates, and when we succeed, everyone is happy for each other :)

    my 4 cents ;)
