This is absolute horsh shit. Not only do you guys pay late, you cant even find the time to let your affiliates know you are going to be late, and now we find out we are getting 50% of our commissions. This is absolute garbage and is no way to do business. You don’t even think to consider that some affiliates might have checks written against commissions we were expecting. You could have at least had the cooth to give us a little notice on this garbage, so we don’t count on that money. And holding back 50% is just garbage, absolute crap. Damn this shit pisses me off.

I guess you will find out when you get your invoice. Perhaps they are being selective based on your USA ratio. Below was included in my invoice.

You have fallen under the category of affiliates that have sent exclusively or primarily US-based players and we wanted to inform you that you will receive full payment for your September earnings.

Because of the recent blocking of new and existing US-based players there is a very high chargeback risk which will be ongoing over the next year. To cover the possibility of chargebacks from your account we will be issuing your current payment over 6 monthly installments. This month you will receive 50% of September’s earnings and the other 50% of your earnings will be paid in installments of 10% over the following 5 months.

The reason for this is that because the majority of your earnings are from US-based players there is a chance that we will be paying earnings on money that will be chargedback. Because of this the full payment will be completed over the 6 month risk period. Please note that during this period of time we will be doing all that we can to reduce the risk of any chargebacks.

I would also like to suggest that you consider moving in to the non-US market. This is an area that we are already market leaders and would be happy to provide you with any assistance. We would be more than happy to help you transfer your knowledge into these new, exciting opportunities. Our affiliate managers have years of experience in the non-US markets and we already have proven localized banners and marketing materials that have been developed over the years ready and waiting for you to use.

If you are interested in moving into one of these new markets our affiliate managers will be more than happy to speak to you to offer you advice.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and can promise that this is a decision that we did not take lightly.

    Best Regards,

    Gary

    This from Wagerjunction:

A week into the Bill and change is still happening on an ever increasing basis. This week I do have an announcement to make that I am sure will not make me very popular. It is a step that we have to take to ensure that we are protected.

Payments this month are delayed – and my apologies for the late announcement .We are going to need to withhold 10% of all revenue generated from players in the USA to cover for any future chargeback’s. We will hold these amounts for 6 months and then will release these payments to you when that time period is up.

Payments of the adjusted amounts will be made within the next two days.

    IOG:
If your going to pull that – then lower the MIN payment of $250 !!

So I can at least buy some socks and underwear !!

With the loss of almost all my Sept revenue (Chargebacks, exclusions etc..)
and NOW Oct Revenues – I’ll be lucky to break even:(

Bonusgeek forgot to mention your $250 minimum payout and your crappy/extremely slow response to affiliates.

That’s it, that’s the straw that broke the camel’s back for me.

You pay later and later each month and not only i’m suffering the lost of my ability to convert the valuable US traffic i was working so hard to get. you now add to that by slowing my payments even more.

Bye Bye IOG, you are out of my 16 sites within a week. Casino Blasters are far better than you and they even accept US traffic.

They pulled the same crap with me. I don’t even understand the logical reason for withholding September’s payment, the bill was passed and signed into law in October. Mid-October at that, I don’t see how September earnings could be charged back due to the new legislation. IOG has always seemed a little weird to me, and now they’re keeping 50% of the money for five months? February 2007 is when I can expect the rest…

One day this legislation is going to be overturned and I think we need to all take notice and remember which affiliates are pulling stunts like this and which aren’t.

I have always been happy with IOG, but this I do not like.

Originally the rule about affiliates and chargebacks was to avoid casinos getting scammed by affiliate/player teams.

This is obviously not the case here, and affiliates should not be held responsible for chargebacks in this situation. It is abuse of the rule, just as we see abuse of US laws these days. It’s no different.

That said, Elliot is a great manager and I like him and have enjoyed working with him.

Elliot IS dynamite to work with. Guys I am going to talk to them and see what I can find out as there has not been an official announcement yet.

Perhaps this policy (if thats what it is) can be reviewed before implementation.

The Republicans put a stop to that practice too, ie… Check21.

Any word from your dynamite aff manager. They won’t respond to my emails and I think I am entitle to know WHERE THE HELL MY MONEY IS. I can only conclude with everything that has transpired that they are either short on cash, they don’t intend to pay, or they simply are not smart enough to understand that keeping us in the dark with our commission payment will cause affiliates to drop them. Which one is it? How hard can it possibly be to send out a simple email or make a simple post here. Well I can tell you I want nothing to do with these bumbs, I just want my damn money. I don’t deal with companies that treat the people that feed them like dirt. No doubt their true colors have come out during these trying times. I can’t wait untill they legalize gambling and these programs are singing a different tune. I will not forget this horseshit and will be sure to remind everyone about it. I knew some programs would use this bill to play games, but I didn’t expect this from IOG. I have raved about them several times on this forum and this is very dissappointing. I just want what is mine and if your not going to pay on time is it really too much to ask to know when you are going to pay me for crying out loud.

Thanks for the update Prof. I feel a little better now. If they would just keep us informed then I wouldn’t have said a word aside from being unhappy with their 50% deal. I don’t put 15 hours a day in front of this damn computer only to have to guess on where my money is. I hope they can understand that. Keep affiliates informed and we won’t start to think the worst, ESPECIALLY with all that is going on now.
