InactiveSo why would we be responsible for the processor they pick?

InactiveA few years back Captain Cooks used a processor that went “belly up”. They still had Illustrated Casino online back then, which owed me a few dollars. Anyway, it took them a while to pay their players because of it.
They will have to explain to winning players why they won’t be paid, when they players thought they had made deposits, and won fairly.

InactiveAm I reading this correctly? They attempted to pay some affiliates, and a payment processor grabbed the funds instead of forwarding it? And now they essentially want to say the affiliate is out the money? That’s ridiculous.
A chargeback is when a player reneges on their deposit.
Trouble with a payment processor holding funds that were in transit is not an affiliate responsibility, and is definitely not a chargeback. What’s next? “Our office health insurance went up by 20% last month, so all affililate commissions will now be reduced by 20%.”
Hopefully, this is just a badly worded email, and the issue isn’t as described.

InactiveI think the payment processor took the funds that the players deposited and never handed it over. So they are syaing they never saw the money in the first place and hence can;t pay us.
Has ayone actually had an email to tell them that their account was affected?
What concerns me is that they are using Party’s systems and processes to pay affiliates now. That is a disaster I have had nothing but grief with them.

InactiveAh, I get it now. In that case, then yes, I agree these should be treated as chargebacks. And, the payment processor should be named.

If they never seen the money in the first place how did it ever show in affiliate reports? Further, if it never got that far then why would they need to put out a statement about not being able to pay affiliates?
I think its either a foobarred statement or something more is going on.

vladcizsolMemberQuote:If they never seen the money in the first place how did it ever show in affiliate reports?Once the casinos are told there has been a valid transaction they credit the player account for that deposit and the affiliates for any subsequent net win generated. ALL casinos HAVE TO operate this way Axl.
Can you imagine what would happen if when a player made a deposit with Visa their player account wasnt credited until weeks later when the casino received the actual funds? Not very condusive to business is it?
They credit the player immediately, in good faith, based on the successful transaction record from the processor. If they are unable to collect those funds from the processor at a later date then this does behave as a chargeback.
Make sense?

This is why NETeller had Instacash – quick deposits!

vladcizsolMemberSo you are being penalized by not being paid commission on money they never received?
