Dear Webmaster Members,
We are in the middle of a rather large audit investigation of Fortune Affiliates. During this investigation, the APCW has uncovered severe tracking issues dealing with cross promotion by Fortune Affiliates to our players, which we are not getting credit for.
These issues are two fold:
The Fortune Buddie does not track correctly. We have documented this and believe it’s contributing to the declining player values and overall earnings. We were assured that the tracking was in place — even though the Fortune Buddie uses Slick Street cookies — because the player would be credited to the proper webmaster after cross-checking the email associated with the player. This has not been the case.
Also, there are issues with their “free money” offers. Fortune has admitted that customers who take advantage of these offers and DO NOT convert to depositing players may be removed from webmaster accounts as “fraud”. Some of these players have been removed as quickly as 3 weeks after registering accounts, which we feel may not provide enough opportunity to convert before being removed from webmaster accounts. There is not yet confirmation on whether Fortune in still marketing to these “fraud” accounts, and if so what happens if these players are converted into real depositors.

I have been wondering why I have had 2 chargebacks this month…maybe this is the reason.

Please keep us in the loop on your findings. This is of obvious concern as many of our webmasters do work with Fortune (me included)

I have been stuck in Milan for nearly 3 days on route back to South Africa :angry: .
I have spoken to J Todd on the phone and he will be sending me the data to investigate. Once the investigation is complete I will report back on this forum on the findings.

David did phone me today and we spoke for a bit… poor guy was quite tired
but he did want to get updated.I gave him a brief run down of the situation and will provide him complete findings this week (as soon as we wrap-up).
After our conversation, I have no doubt that David is on-top of our concerns and is taking every measure possible to resolve things quickly.
Interesting month.
I went from avg. 8-10 hits a month with RVP to 46 last month with no change in position on my site.
That was nice, but my income never changed from 1st week of month. I am poker only so it is in the realm of posibility that no one played after 1st week.

I felt the need to post my stats for January 2006. Although I do not optimize Fortune Affiliates in a aggresive manner, I find my stats interesting. These stats are for one site, 125 clicks 0 downloads recorded. December, 2005 was even more amazing total earnnigs to date $10.00 since June, 2005

I may be misreading this post but are you making evaluations on 10 hits a month or even 120 hits a month? how can you rate a program publicly with those numbers, it is like doing a national poll based on a 1,000 people?
