All registered affiliates can vote. *We didn’t want to restrict any legitimate affiliates from being heard for not having a certain post count or registration date, though we do require affiliates to register to prevent any fraudulent activity from occurring.
However, I would like to note that all affiliates who register to CAP are manually approved to ensure that affiliates have certain permissions, such as participating in the Community Certification program. *As mentioned above, only users who are marked as affiliates in our system can vote. *Any other user who is not an affiliate will be unable to do so. *We remain strict with regards to this and will reject any votes from suspicious accounts.

Inactivethis is a nice feature. new affiliates will now be able to rely “word of mouth” referrals, as opposed to paid listings. while the difference is often subtle since programs will overlap, its still a nice take on the same issue.
well done to CAP think tank!

Inactivehow to take into account of the value of a vote as time lapse ?
can the same member change the vote to a particular program later on ?

InactiveI think they should come up for review if a given number of affiliates requests it.
After doing good business with Grand Prive for years I would have voted them in, but they sure did a turn-about and would have had to be voted out at a later time.

Presently, an affiliate cannot change their vote once it has been submitted, as we want to prevent any fraudulent activity from occurring. However, this may change in the future to allow affiliates to change their vote during the duration of voting for a given program.
If a program does receive X amount (# to be determined) of complaints for the same issue within a specified time frame via the CAP Complaint System, then the program will be up for review and potentially be up for decertification. If this does happen, the affiliates will once again be able to vote on the decertification of that particular program.

CharlesWFMemberSounds great. Looking forward to seeing it working.
The 80% of yes’s Im not sure about. I guess how reliable that cut off point is, will be down to the quality of the voters!! For me, if even 10% of CAP members voted against a program, I’m not sure I would want to try it without serious further consideration.

It is available for all CAP Listed programs, new and existing. The affiliate managers of existing programs have all been contacted and invited to apply.
