InactiveWell its a sad state of a person screaming to stop (although a direct call would be more believable) or someone trying to screw over Arshad Shakil.
I am going to hope its the second…

InactiveI think this is some sort of anti gambling PR rather than a real case. If it was a real case he would make sure to accomplish his goal of getting banned. I.e. contact the poker rooms directly rather than forums and aff sites. :sarcasm:

InactiveI certainly hope everyone will ban him.
Unless he gives more info (username) he can’t be banned from forums and websites, but the poker rooms should be able to ban him.
It may not be real, but I will assume it is, some people are real hard core gambling addicts and need to be banned.

InactiveOk, after a little research I think this guy is a bit unorthodox yet legitimate. He seems to be registered in a Norwegian PC gaming forum
Best of luck to him, I hope they all ban him. The poker rooms that won’t ban him should be reported (maybe to the Meister?).

The problem with a lot of players is that they do not realise that a portal has actually little to do with the poker room or casino itself. We often get emails asking some or other question regarding their accounts not realising that we have no idea which casino or poker room they are talking about. They assume that the portal that they visited is the actual doorway.. rediculous as it may sound.. we tend to forget that many people are not that savvy with the internet etc.

ebusinesswebMemberIt is great to see how this industry is maturing slowly.
Eventually, I would hope a specific company or non-profit organization will be in touch with all gambling operators and supply a list of addicted gamblers which should be banned from all rooms and casinos.
This is a startup idea – I’m hoping someone will pick it up. The advantages of this would probably be recognized by the US government as part of the future regulation.
When you have the power do decide, you have the power to lead.

starMemberHope they do ban him, sometimes a step like this is necessary to stop further debt from mounting.
I read a post over at some blog, mac related i believe. Adn discovered you can actually ban yourself from FullTiltPoker for a set period of time, which is a nice addition for players who cant control themselves.

sipherMemberIn some casinos you can even set limits ie how much you will be allowed to play per day/week/month or if you loose xx dollars you wont be able to play for the rest of that day..
