…does that mean no way – no sir ;)

I have seen the few posts suggesting that they are the same, but I cannot be sure…. it seems that the over all attidude to this software and it´s providers is VERY BAD.

This is sad as this is the only quality software that can be bought with in reasonable costs.

I think it´s rediculous to ask 150 to 600k just for the software alone as they take a 20-30% off the revenue.

Maybe I should take a few finnish programmers and create a software of our own as that is not such a big job to do.

Maybe I should take a few finnish programmers and create a software of our own as that is not such a big job to do.

Its not the software… There are a number of decent softwares out there that most of us would never promote. It’s the credibility and reputation of the provider thats a key element to acceptance/success among players and webmasters.

You can have the best software out there, but if you are viewed as an unreliable partner or rogue it will be extremely difficult to make any money (rightfully so).

A prime example is the number of RTG licensees that have such a tarnished rep that REPUTABLE affiliates wouldn’t spit on them. RTG software itself is excellent and one of my favorite platforms to play on. It’s not necessarily the software it’s the people behind it that matter.

Ok so you say “Well yes professor, but I am honest, so if I did the software it would be a great success for all”, fair enough, you have two of the components covered, honesty and software, the third is equally important and one you alluded to, cash reserves.

You have to have enough cash to support the inevitable peaks and valleys that come with this business. You have to cover losses and pay players and webmasters when you are in an extreme negative cash flow situation. Once you tumble down the slippery slope of delayed cash outs and commission payments due to limited cash reserves then problem snow balls and you destroy your reputation while seeing a drop in new revenues and loss of partners. This happens because people DO talk and once a few people complain you are in trouble within the community.

The lack of cash (and subsequent loss of trust) has destroyed Future Bet….

Conservatively you should have AT LEAST $500K and preferably $1M in CASH reserves to float these losses and payouts. If you dont then the odds are very good that over time you WILL get into trouble.

Now lets say you did have $1M in liquid cash… Why would you want to risk it on an unproven software platform that has no track record with players?

When you think about it you start to realize why smart money takes that investment capital and puts it into an established platform, that has the bugs already worked out and is respected in the marketplace by players IE MGS, Playtech or even RTG.

Not trying to rain on your parade, this is just something to think about.

Hi Professor – You made a very good point!

One thing that I just cant comprehend is how on earth could the casino go under hundreds of thousands of dollars? I mean we all know the fact that the house always wins in the end – right. So how can it be that the casino would loose large amounts of money when starting the business? Of course there´s the unlikely event that Moby Dick comes along and has a field day, but lets face it – there aint so much of these Moby Dicks on the net and the fact that he would win a lot makes the possibility of this happening much more rare.

So if there will not be a lucky Moby Dick then who is taking our cash??

Mike go to a player based forum like Casinomeister or Winner Online and do a search for “Caribbean21” or “Pirate” and after reading what you find let’s chat again…
